J.Crew return policy changed from 60 days to 30 days
Beyond angered by the return policy
Anyone have any experience with J. Crew's final sale policy?
Just a few quick notes on J. Crew and J. Crew Factory returns during this busy, sales-filled weekend...
Yea. This change in return policy to 30 days is quite sneaky. Especially since it took 3 weeks for the shipment to get to me
More on reddit.comI don’t think I’ve seen anyone mention this yet...
J.Crew changed their return policy from 60 days to 30 days on April 5. Anything that shipped before then will still have the 60 day return window, but anything after that is down to 30 days.
I don’t think they sent out an email or anything that mentioned the change; I just happened to notice it on a recent order packing slip/receipt and asked CS about it.
Caveat emptor!
I placed an order on 5/23 and paid for expedited shipping, which went out 5/24. I received my order on 5/28.
I returned some items from the order and dropped off the shipment on 6/17, well within the 30 day window. I paid $7.95 for the return label.
Today, I received an email that my refund is in the form of a gift card because it was not received or processed within the 30 day time period. Are you kidding me?
Apparently the 30 day window starts when the items ship (not received) AS WELL AS the time it takes THEM to receive and process the return, which took 3 f*cking weeks. Are you kidding me?
So considering I received my package on 5/28, by this logic I would have had to return my package 5/26, 2 days before I even received it. This is a straight up SCAM. I'm livid.
Is this new? Because I've bought and returned from JCrew many times and this was never an issue. Wondering if anyone can comment on this. I'm shocked to not see any other mentions.
