I've never used this site, but it looks like you can get a pre-built openjdk here: adoptopenjdk.net ... openjdk.java.net does not provide release builds of OpenJDK 8 for Windows. You need to download an OpenJDK version of Java.. You only need "at least" v8.2 so get OpenJDK v11 which will be supported long term.. OpenJDK 11 - http://jdk.java.net/11/ - this version does not include JavaFX but if you're doing MOOC then it doesn't matter. Just unzip into your Java folder. This is not an installer so make sure you set the lib and bin folder locations in your system path. If you don't know what that means let me know and I'll post further instructions (this is for PC).
