August 18, 2024Q0 Numpad + Alt Codes
Late reply as I came across this while searching and haven't found it answered elsewhere. I've had the same problem with my Q1+Q0, but just found out that if I hold Alt (on Q1) and type the code on Q0, nothing appears, but then if I press space on the Q1 immediately afterwards, I do get the desired character. It almost feels like it's being buffered until I've pressed space on the Q1. Hope this helps if you haven't sorted it out another way. More on reddit.com

As far as I know Mac's don't have num lock and that is why it's not working for you, same thing happens with my Drevo Gramr on Mac OS.

I do some hobby graphic design (guitar and wiring schematics, light architecture), and sometimes find myself wishing I could type numbers with my left hand easier than the top row of numbers or reaching all the way to keyboard's number pad on the right (use a Keychron Q6 QMK), since my right hand is busy with the mouse.
Just curious if anyone uses an accessory keypad on the left or in addition to a full keyboard?

I've used a separate numpad and keyboard for years and while it works, it's not my preference. For starters you use two USB ports which isn't an issue with a desktop, but is with a modern laptop. Secondly, often the angles and heights of both don't perfectly align. If it were me, and I wanted a numpad on the left, I would buy a keyboard with the numpad on the left.

I’m looking for a solid Keychron keyboard to use with my MacBook. I’ve had bad experiences with the Logitech MX Mechanical and MX Keys S, both suffering from random key presses, even after cleaning with a vacuum cleaner. So now, I’m thinking of switching to Keychron.
Here are my preferences:
White backlight (RGB is fine as long as it’s switchable to white).
Dedicated numpad.
Low profile and quiet keys.
Bluetooth/wireless is a must (but it can have wired support too). Bluetooth is my top priority.
Looking for a solid build keyboard that will last.
What’s the best Keychron model that fits these needs? Thanks in advance!

For low profile, you are looking for a K5 MAX or K17 MAX.

If you can forego the low-profile preference, the V6 Max and Q6 Max are what I'd recommend to hit your quiet target. Get the barebones kits and add some silent switches and PBT keycaps. If you can handle linear switches, TTC Silent Frozen or HMX Silent Sakura are two I have favorable experience with. If you need tactile switches, they're not as quiet; but the Gazzew Boba U4S Silent tactile switch has treated me well. Durock Shrimps feel better but are louder.
