As someone with an L shape desk thinking of changing to a normal rectangular one, do you find value in the L shape if you’re not using most of the desk on the right there? I gravitated towards an eerily similar setup where my right side is largely empty, and I mainly just use my laptop directly with monitors behind it. November 19, 2024Find an L-shaped (or corner) standing desk. Any recommendations?
I have an 84x84 Deskhaus Apex Pro 6 leg L desk with a custom walnut top and I absolutely love it. It is rock solid on carpet and looks great. It is sold only as a frame, so you do have to get the top separately.The frame alone is above your budget but if you want to increase your budget, its a great choice. Uplift is an option I also considered. They are a big well known brand with a long warranty. They are close to your budget but can go way over depending on the size/top you choose. They do have tons of options Progressive desk seems like another good option. Their desk is manufacturered by the same company as Deskhaus and Uplift with a similar warranty length, so I imagine it has a similar quality. They are a little cheaper than Uplift and have tons of different sizes but are limited on desktop materials. Desky is in a similar price range as Uplift and Progressive and has a lot of desktop options but are limited on size options. Their site has good reviews but I haven't heard or seen many reviews outside their site. Flexispot E7L is another big brand and is within your budget but it does have limited desktop material and size options. Vivo sells a lot of L desks well within your budget but most of the height range is awful, not the best reputation for stability, desktop quality is low. and most of their desktops come in 3 or more pieces. There are tons of other options, but these are the ones I looked into the most and are close or within your budget. More on reddit.com

There are fixed standing desks that are a certain height and don't move up or down, but the standing desks I recommend are all adjustable. The electric ones lower and raise at the push of a button, some even having memory settings for several different heights, while the manual ones have a crank or other mechanism you move to raise or lower the desktop. You'll want to check the minimum and maximum height on each desk, as they will all be different, to ensure it will be comfortable for your sitting and standing height.
