As others have mentioned, it really depends on the intended usage mostly in regards to output power and white light quality. RGB can't produce white, it can only make colors. Actual white light is a full spectrum which adding R+G+B together can't do. If you'd go RGBW or RGBCCT that's solved but then there is a problem of white light quality still. The CRI or RA value of the light. This needs to be a decent CRI90 (not tricked) but preferred even higher, values such as the R9 value are important. And even when that would be ok, there is the light output. Digitally addressable strips often just aren't that bright, the little controllers on there can only handle so much. Dumb analog PWM lighting can go much brighter. Now if this is purely a bedroom, using some ws2805 for instance, which has a fair CRI90 and dual white LEDs would work I'd think. But if you want to do something that requires a decent amount of light, working on a project, reading a book for a while, etc. Etc. You'll likely want more light...
