This is our 3rd fridge in 9 years.
The same thing happened 2.5 years ago.
Our LG French door fridge with bottom freezer stopped cooling yesterday. The Smart Diagnosis says there are no codes. We emptied it, unplugged and flipped the breaker and then plugged it back in and left it for 13+ hours. Temp went up 11 degrees inside the fridge.
Repair people can't come out for more than a week and charge $150 just to diagnose the problem.
Do we wait or do we buy yet another fridge and take advantage of black Friday deals?
Anything else we could try?

LG French door fridge/freezer compressor issues
LG french door fridge not working anymore. Freezer works fine. Should I repair or replace?
If it's a 2018 model LG then 95% of the time it's that linear inverter piece of shit compressor they use. Make sure to Call LG to get a full concession on repairs. Do not just call any repair company cause you're going to need what we call a jig(software rewriter) to do a software update on the control board located at the rear of the fridge so that your fridge will be able to use the standard universal compressor replacement, the only way to get around not doing a software update is to use the factory OEM compressor which they discontinued in 2019 and default to the universal so an update is 100% nessessary... these fridges suck ass but unfortunately for the consumer cause they're the one fridge that fits most newer homes the best, I've eard from too many customers that "this was the only option I had unless I remodeled my kitchen"
