I feel the same to be honest about my supersac. I've sat on a friend's older one prior to purchasing, but that one seemed to hold it's shape for longer and be more comfortable overall. I've had mine for about a week and can't sit on it for longer than an hour without needing to re-fluff. I want to love it, not sure if I'm doing something wrong. r/Lovesac on Reddit: SuperSac vs generics
February 5, 2022 -

SuperSac w/ footrest bundle is $910 right now. 5' Ultimate Sack w/ footrest is $164 (1st party site w/ coupon)

I can't reconcile the $750 difference, despite preferring the LoveSac options.

I know the LoveSac is probably somewhat higher quality and maybe has better longevity. The fit and finish is superior from images online. That doesn't make up the difference.

Any firsthand accounts and distinctions for LoveSac are appreciated.

November 11, 2024 - Just went behind the scenes and tested out Lovesac couches, and I wanted to share my honest review with you all. If you're still thinking of Lovesac as "just those giant bean bags from college," you're way behind.

r/Lovesac on Reddit: Is the supersac a ripoff or would you actually recommend it? Is it bad for your back/neck or do you find it comfortable lounging around for hours in?

I’m thinking of buying a used supersac but my main concerns are 1: having to constantly fluff up a 75lb sack 2. It taking up a lot of space in my small room 3. The sac not being comfortable laying or sitting on for hours on end. Inadequate support overall.

What are your experiences with the supersac? I have a pillowsac and my back aches after a short time. Would you recommend I just stick with what I have? For anyone who believes in the supersac, pitch it to me. Why is it worth getting?

I've had mine for 15ish years. It was the first somewhat frivolous purchase I made. I have carted that thing across the country twice and moved it to a new home 8 times. I have sold all of my furniture twice but kept my supersac. It went kind of flat at one point and lovesac sent me a massive box of extra foam at no charge that did the trick. I have shrunk it down for moves and tied it up. Highly recommend shrinking if you have a shop vac. I have 3 covers for it and thinking of buying a 4th. A moving/outdoor one, the original black velvet, and a phur. It's the most comfortable piece of furniture I own. It's a pain to fluff and the less you fluff the less comfortable it becomes until you fluff again. I consider fluffing it part of a workout. Some people flip tires, I flip my supersac. If I can't fluff it I know I'm getting out of shape. I've used it as the primary couch twice when I was in a small space. I've taken so many naps and read so many books in it. I've had a lot of dates watching movies on it and have even taken it to drive in movies. I've had parties and had people pass out on it. I had one person throw up on it and a cat pee on it. (I removed all of the foam to deep clean it. Massive mess, don't recommend). I've had 6 people fit on it before. I've recovered from multiple surgeries on it as it's great if you need to keep your leg elevated. I've even ended a bad relationship partly over it because I realized the guy didn't respect my stuff or care about my happiness and never would (he's the reason the cat peed on it). I'm now happily married and The Beast resides in my office that doubles as my reading room. Still fluffs up perfectly and has no stains, rips, or smells. It is massive, and ridiculous, and heavy, and it brings me joy. Absolutely recommend lol.

It’s my most fav piece of furniture and the only thing I will sit on while watching tv! Mine is 4 years old and just needs to be fluffed once in a while! Worth every $

r/wallstreetbets on Reddit: Lovesac ($LOVE) - Return of the bean bags?
August 8, 2023 -

Have been looking into Lovesac, the company that originally created those huge bean bag chairs. They since created "Sactionals" - their version of sectional and modular couches which makes up 90% of sales.

Recently, there's been some large insider buying by Satori Capital and Andrew Heyer.

Satori Capital

Satori Capital originally invested $10 million in Lovesac in 2017, before their IPO in 2018. Since the IPO, they've sold down over $70 million in shares, realizing over 7x their initial investment.

On Dec 13, 2023 they purchased $3.8 million worth of shares on the open market - their first purchase since 2017.

Andrew Heyer

Andrew Heyer is the Chairman of the Board for Lovesac. On Dec 27, 2023, he purchase $230k worth of shares in LoveSac.

Andrew has a pretty good track record of investing in Lovesac... He purchased shares of Lovesac in late 2019/early 2020 at around $14 a share before the stock ran up to $90 at the peak in 2021.

Source and Analysis from here

Granted, home goods is down post-pandemic and there are numerous competitors in bean bags and sectional couches. However, the macro environment could be turning given expected rate cuts in 2024 and Lovesac has held up relatively well compared to competitors.

What do you all think about LoveSac?

I had no idea there was a sub for these things lol.

I just saw these at Costco online and was wondering if you thought the sac was worth it. Why or why not? Is the movie sac big enough for 2 adults (5'8 170 lbs)to sit in? Are these easy to return back to costco (more worried about it fitting into a small sedan)?

I live in a small condo but I don't have much furniture so I think I can make room. I am just looking for something comfortable to jump in and chill on, maybe even with someone else.

I had no idea bean bag chairs suddenly became luxury items because you could get one for $20 the last time I was in the market for one. Now I am confused about what could possibly make someone pay the equivalent of a new couch for this item. I can’t bring myself to pay Lovesac prices for this—any good alternatives? Does the filling matter? It’s for a kid.

I worked lovesac production while in college. They are legitimately BIFL. Most people get rid of them because they're over it, few get to be worn out. They used to have a lifetime warranty that they would honor as well. LoveSac is using closed cell memory foam which is one of the reasons they're expensive. It's the 40-60 lbs of foam (several lay z boys worth) and shredding and shipping it is not an easy process. Regardless of age, when you pick them up and flip them over a few times they'll puff right back up as if they're brand new. They can hold you like a chair without being up against a wall. The big LoveSacs require about 10 yards of fabric, heavy duty zippers, stitching, etc, thats to both to removable covers and to shroud the insert, which is the other reason they're as expensive as they are. If you keep it 10 years being able to swap out the cover can refresh the look as the insert is the most expensive part. if instead you're going for a traditional bean bag, small, up against a wall, or just want to stay cheap, or plan on throwing it away in a couple years, that's fine, but note the ones filled with styrofoam peanuts or anything similar: they compress and don't come back. If you intend to keep a cheap one expect little, or that you'll need to refill it over and over and over. I'd avoid it as it's a nightmare mess to refill, you can't shape it as it has the structural Integrity of sand, and cannot hold you in a sitting position in the middle of a floor The competitors to Lovesac used to ship you a half empty bag and another bag of filler and have you fill it yourself. Not sure if this is still the case. Tldr. They're spendy, but do deliver and can be shaped to act as a chair / bed / recliner for 10 years±.

The Beatles said "all you need is love," and that may be true, but it's certainly not the case when it comes to LoveSac bean bags! Our advice: Just say no! Sometimes that's easier said than done, but under these circumstances, not so much. A few years ago I bought a Comfy Sack for my theater, but it was killed by a flooded basement. I'm finally ready to replace it, but I see there are quite a few players in the market I hadn't seen before. Other than Lovesac (which I'm not willing to spend the money for), who makes the "best" large memory foam beanbag right now? Comfy Sack? Cozy Sack? Big Joes? Ultimate Sack? Someone else? Looking for a 6' one.
