IMHO it would be hard or nearly not possible to find anything similar to K3. Maybe it is not an answer you want to hear, but I was in the same situation a few years ago using K3 - and needed the numpad. Ended up buying full size Keychron K1 - today it is Keychron K5: https://www.keychron.com/collections/low-profile-keyboard-collection/products/keychron-k5-se-ultra-slim-wireless-mechanical-keyboard I really recommend this solution, now I am using K3 as my mobile/travel sexy small form-factor keyboard-ish, and K1 as my stationary super booper pro mega nice full size and full time keyboard with numpad solution at work. :) Answer from mxw3000 on reddit.com

November 11, 2023 - It's wired, not hot-swappable, and it uses Kailh switches, but it's mechanical and low profile. ... It’s just not for me. What I want from NuPhy is a TKL keyboard. I like their keyboards and I like having the home/insert section separate. But have you checked out their 96% keyboard? It’s a low profile numpad but just as 1 continuous board.

r/Keychron on Reddit: Low-profile numpad to match the K3?
November 23, 2022 -

Hi, I've just purchased the 70% K3 and I'm looking for a numpad to match. Can anyone recommend a numpad with low-profile keys and a detachable (preferably USB C) cable and/or wireless connection?

Alternatively, if there are no low-profile models out there, can anyone recommend an affordable numpad with RGB? Something like this, with a brand/support to back it up? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/185115664067

I am also looking for a low-profile number pad to use with my K3 Pro. I use CAD software, so it's convenient to have a number pad on the left and mouse with my right. I would prefer it all be one chassis, so I am experimenting with the Q12 "southpaw" keyboard. While I do prefer the numpad and the keyboard being joined together, the Q12 is not low-profile and is astonishingly heavy. I was simply not prepared for how heavy this thing is, and have added felt feet that let it "skate" on my desk. If I want to move it out of the way for drawing or other tasks, I can easily slide it out of the way without having to fully pick it up. I only wish I didn't have to raise it another 3mm with the felt feet.... I think I prefer the looks and easy maneuvering of the low-profile K3 more than the Q12, so I'll continue searching for a number pad that "fits" the style of the K3. If Keychron would like to make a low-profile keyboard with the same layout as the Q12, I'd buy it instantly.

r/keyboards on Reddit: Compact w/numpad, low profile, wireless? Does this exist anymore?
December 20, 2024 -

So I've used a Logitech K360 for many years. My first one lasted a long time before it started having various issues. The second one recently developed a problem with the space bar not working half the time (a pretty important feature). I tried prying off the space bar to clean, and snapped it in half. I tried swapping in the old keyboard's space bar, but the design is different, and it doesn't fit.

Today I received a MX Keys S. The quality is 10x higher overall, ie the keys don't wobble like on the K360. The full layout takes a lot of getting used to, but only ever knew this layout until getting my first K360.

However, it turns out that the compact layout was a pretty key feature for the K360, for reasons I'm sure have been tread over plenty on this sub. Namely that instead of having both the keyboard and mouse in front of you, now one or both are pushed to the side, introducing that dreaded rotator cuff repetitive strain mouse arm.

I'm a bit bummed by this, because I'd rather just keep this thing and be done with it. But if it's going to be more irritating later...

TLDR: Is there a wireless, compact, low profile keycap keyboard that still has a number pad, other than the K360? Or am I stuck trying to find more K360s forever. I can't imagine not having a number pad.

I don't have a specific budget, but I can't imagine what I'm looking for being any more expensive than the MX S I already have here.

Also, I don't care about gaming keyboards, mechanical et al. I'd rather it be quiet than precise. Rimworld is pretty forgiving of keyboard precision.

Thank you very much for enduring such a lengthy post from a non-r/keyboards person!

r/keyboards on Reddit: Low Profile Keyboard Recommendations?
May 19, 2025 -

I've been in the market for a new low profile mechanical keyboard. Years back I had the Logitech G815 and liked it for what it was. Switches were okay, keycaps were meh. I ended up selling it as I wanted something smaller from a full keyboard.

I recently bought the Logitech G515 in tactile and have been using it for 2 weeks now. I like the form factor, the switches, the updated keycaps to PBT. However, there has already been a double clicking problem that has developed on the space bar. I believe I read about that issue before buying it too unfortunately. It happens both in the wireless adapter mode and bluetooth. While it doesn't happen all the time. it's annoying enough that I'm considering returning it and searching for something else.

It was tough for me to choose between the Logitech G915X, Razer Deathstalker v2 pro, or the one I ended up going with the Logitech G515. While I do like the TKL format, some other keyboards I was considering is the NuPhy Air75 v2 and the Lofree Flow 84.

I currently also have a Logitech MX Mini and Keychron Q1 that I was looking to sell to consolidate into one keyboard to use for gaming (windows) and work (mac).

Anyone have any recommendations or advice on how to best proceed?

Edit: I went with the Iquinix mq80 and have really enjoyed it thus far!

A Comprehensive Guide to Low-Profile Mechanical Keyboards – Redragonshop
Low-profile mechanical keyboards typically use low-profile mechanical switches that have a shallower actuation point than standard mechanical switches. This means that less force is required to register a keypress, resulting in a smoother and more comfortable typing experience. Standard mechanical keyboards, on the other hand, have a higher profile with keys that sit farther apart from each other.

r/MechanicalKeyboards on Reddit: A list of low profile mechanical keyboards
October 6, 2018 -

Height comparison between low profile mechanical keyboards that you can buy (or cant): https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/irt8yt/height_comparison_between_low_profile_mechanical/

I compiled this list of all low profile mech keyboards that I'm aware of at the time of this post because I didn't find one while I was shopping for one and information was scattered. They are categorized by size first then sorted by price. TKL in this case is 80%.

I don't have plans right now to add kits, keycaps, switches, cases, etc, only fully assembled keyboards.

If you know of any other LP keyboards feel free to let me know and I'll add it to the list. Hopefully this helps anyone interested.

For anyone new to mechanical keyboards be aware that low profile keyboards, while slim, they lack customizability and there is a overall lack of options compared to standard high profile keycap keyboards. This is because no one is selling standardized keycaps, switches and other parts that would be interchangeable with each other. You will find it difficult to find coloured keycaps. In many prebuilts manufacturers make unique switches meaning you can't change out the switches with something else or find keycaps with stems that will fit the switches.

Edit 5: Having used the Keychron K1 V4 for over a year I can't say I'd personally recommend it long term. Worked well for a year then started breaking in 10 different places.
