You either need a separate battery or electrical connection in the tube like Dyson does. Ryobi is the only power tool company that has one, as far as I know. https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-18v-one-hp-brushless-stick-vacuum-kit_p0487897 Makita would probably have to make it run on a slim LXT or CXT pack. I want to make one that uses an M12 battery. There's a YT vid of a guy adapting a dyson head to run on his Milwaukee backpack vac, but he used wires running down the telescopic tube and a secondary battery mounted to the vacuum. I own a Makita Miter Saw 36 v LXT version, I believe the kit model is XSL06PT. I have been searching for a dust vacuum attachment and have been unsuccessful in finding the correct one. I find it absurd that Makita doesn’t have one included especially in a kit. I did purchase the “Makita p-70378” which seems to fit the miter saw with the rubber end but can’t find an attachment to fit my shop vac hose . Shop vac hose is 2.5” OD and the the non rubber end of the Makita attachment is 1.5” OD. I also purchased the Powwertec 2.5” to 1.5” model # 70138 reducer attachment which fits the vacuum hose but does not fit the Makita attachment . Basically both have a same 1.5” OD hence why it can’t fit. I would need a 1.75” OD to 2.5”OD but unable to locate. Hoping someone can share exactly what they are using for this machine
