Skyfactory 4 is the first time I've played with the Mekanism mod, and for the life of me I cannot find any sort of energy transfer pipes/wires/cables. It seems there's supposed to be "Universal Cables" in mekanism, but I can't craft them. Were they removed/disabled in this mod pack?

I want to re-enable Mekanism cables. It looks like they were meant to be re-enabled, but I’m not seeing them. I found instructions elsewhere on Reddit where editing a file in the Skyfactory 4 game folder will re-enable them.
My question is, if I am playing on someone else’s server, will that still work? Or is that file I need to edit hosted on the server?
Been playing for a bit on a SF4 server my brother started and we're just kinda getting into powering things and automation and I realised there's no mekanism cables to power multiple things off of one energy source or item pipes to transfer things between inventories.
Am I just missing where they are? Or is there another mod that does the same job as those?
Edit : Solution Found, Look comment :)
Hey, after some research I saw that in skyfactory 4 the Universal cables of Mekanism had been deactivated, but while searching I also saw that the devs are supposed to have them reactivatedSource : https://github.com/DarkPacks/SkyFactory-4/pull/1790
The post is quite old, so the patch is supposed to have been done, but I don't have anything in my modpack, Do you know why ? And do you know how I can reactivate them myself? Thanks in advance !
Title says it all, I don't want to use the cyclic stuff and find it really annoying that Mekanism's stuff was removed. Anyone know how to re-enable them?
I have made everything as it should be but the cables wont take energy from extraction cables. Pls help
Edit. I'm not sure does it matter that i have like 7 mekanism advanced solar generators and 3 heat generators.
I'm mainly looking for the Mekanism cabling because I'm more familiar with that but in general why is half of the mod missing?
Seriously, they're like my favorite part of Mekanism. I think they're so much better than anything else available in the pack. Why lock them out?
To get you to use Cyclic. I think that is the whole reason.
I'm all for new and different things. I love the storage container mod and the tree resources and all that great stuff. I'm not in favor of excluding features in favor of inferior, less fun mechanics. Cyclic pipes suck. They crash my server and randomly stop working all the time. On top of that they're just overpowered. Itemducts are boring and extremely over used. Mekanism Pipes and cables are rarely used as Mekanism has only relatively recently come back into favor with mainstream packs. If I remember correctly this is the first version of Sky Factory to include Mekanism at all. Why remove feature from it for no reason?
Forcing players to go down the worse path doesn't make the pack better. It's just trying to be different by forcing the player's hand into doing something else that might be worse. That isn't what Minecraft is.
The recipe to make more substrate from substrate is there but when I do it nothing happens also I can't use an Item extraction cable or a hopper to input items into an Enrichment chamber from ANY side even when I set every side to item input
So, finally dipping my toes into the wonderful world of automation, and I've decided to automate iron, to start me off. I set up a second, just-for-this-operation smeltery, and (with the help of some YouTube tutorials that pointed me in the right path) set up a power source for both the smeltery and the automation that'll be happening around it.
Or at least, SHOULD be happening.
My power source is/will be/should be the combination of a Tiny Progressions Cobblestone Generator, a Cyclic Automated User, a cauldron with torch, some Cyclic Fluid and Energy Cables (with matching Extractors, of course), and to tie it all together, a Mekanism Heat Generator.
The plan is that the cobble generator's output will be fed into the auto user, which will push cobble into the cauldron. The resulting lava will be piped into both the smeltery and the Heat Generator, which will power the auto user- as well as the second auto user and the packager that I'll also be using (to automate smeltery iron-block extraction and iron-amber crafting, respectively)
The problem is that I can't get the energy to actually get into the Cyclic Energy Cables. It's actually connected- assuming that the green square on the Heat Generator is where it's supposed to be connected- and the energy seems to get from the generator to the Extraction Cable, because when I place it, it does successfully take some energy from the generator. But then it stops- and it never passes any energy to the non-extraction Energy Cables it's supposed to be attached to.
I'm not having any problems with the Fluid Cables or Item Cables- only the Energy Cables. What's the problem here!?

(Quick edit: Replaced the heat generator with a 'Simple Generators' Simple Geothermal Generator, and it actually fuggin' works. Still leaving this up though, because I'd like to actually use the heat generator I crafted at some point...)
