What games can I play on an Xbox Series X|S console?
What's the difference between Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S?
- Both Xbox Series X|S consoles deliver next-generation capabilities powered by the Xbox Velocity Architecture, such as faster loading, the ability to seamlessly switch between multiple games with Quick Resume, richer and more dynamic worlds, and frame rates up to 120 FPS.
- The primary difference between the two consoles is that the Xbox Series X displays games in native 4K, is available with a UHD Blu-ray Disc player or as a Disc-free console, and you can choose between 1TB SSD or 2TB SSD. Xbox Series S is designed for disc-free gaming at 1440p (with the ability to upscale to 4K) and you can choose between 512GB SSD or 1TB SSD. And, of course, they're priced differently. Both consoles have the option to expand available custom storage via the Storage Expansion Card. Compare Xbox consoles.
Which Xbox consoles play discs?
I've been collecting several Microsoft rewards points for a while partly thanks to Game Pass and I collected enough points to be able to buy Dragon Quest XI S at a pretty good price (or if I keep saving I'll go for Dragon Quest III 2D-HD), but I don't know how good it is to buy the game on the Microsoft Store than on Steam, I mean it's not the first time I play there because I've played a lot of games there and I've finished one or another and I don't feel that the Xbox app is so bad or at least not to the degree of Epic but it's true that nothing like playing from Steam and I've bought in the past some GP games on Steam.
Both versions at least have the plus of having a second type of device where to play (MS on Xbox Series and Steam on Steam Deck) so what do you think, should I opt for the Xbox app version or the Steam version?
