I don't have Laptop but Book and use the touchscreen very often, even when it's docked. Sometimes it's even faster and more comfortable than a mouse when you're using apps suitable for touchscreens, and I barely use apps from outside the store. More on reddit.com

All the time. I notice it when I'm on my macbook and keep trying to scroll around documents with my fingers and having to go back to the touch pad. I also use the pen on the surface at meetings to make notes on drawings, etc. For me, it's the best thing about the Surface. It's a tablet, but it runs all my windows applications. More on reddit.com

Phantom touches/Ghost touches on a touchscreen are not completely unheard of but not common. I get them on one of my Surfaces and they seem to move around. Never had them on any of my other Surfaces or devices. I'll post a separate comment from another thread ... you may have already done all this or just want to disable it ... Because every now and again, I want to prop the laptop up in a funny way and scroll using the screen. It's nice to have. Also, when people go to touch my laptop screen, I no longer feel the need to scream. :)

So far I'm loving my Surface Laptop 2. Bought it at a steal of a price and using it for remote work and leisure. But I forget sometimes that the screen is a touchscreen and I read reviews where it's highlighted as a great feature...
But does anyone really use the touchscreen on a laptop that isn't a 2-in-1?
I don't like wiping away fingerprints on my main display so I habitually keeps my fingers away from it. And while I know there is pen support, the screen doesn't go all the way back so I don't see it being comfortable or anymore useful than a good mouse.

I've had my Surface Laptop for 14 months. Previously I had a Huawei Matebook i3 Tablet and an Acer R13 convertable so I used touch a lot. At first I didn't use touch that much because of the built in track pad. Mostly for the occasional button press on the screen. But, as time has gone on, I use it more and more. Some games are very touch friendly. Last fall I finally bought a Surface Pen. Now, I'm beginning to regret getting a Laptop not a Surface Pro. It can awkward to try to write or draw on the laptop.
