How good is this deal? Is the die grinder worth it? For context I’m a service technician in HVAC and there are times having a multi purpose tool can come in handy, i also work on small projects at home on my own time

I do welding and fab work and it's always in arm's reach. I don't use anything bigger than 2" flap discs/surface conditioning pads and never over speed #2. It will never replace a 4.5 grinder but man is it handy for cleaning up burrs from the bandsaw and drill press. Gotta use the bigger batteries on it too.

I was increasingly having problems with my Gen 1 overheating. Luckily I was still within the 1 year return window at HD and was able to return it for the new one!
Have gotten to really put it to the test yet but the grip is much better, battery fits snug and the trigger is WAY better than the old paddle.

It's not even *that* heavy on battery when using the 6.0. Can't comment on using it with the little batteries. For me the m12 90 degree die grinder is one of the must-buy m12 tools, along with the 3/8" stubby impact and the UHL.

My goto method for years has been to use a straight, air-powered die grinder with a 1/16" x 3" cutoff wheels to grind the top off the welds, then blend them flush with a 90 degree air-powered die grinder and a 2" 36 grit disk. My son just bought Milwaukee's M12 angle die grinder and I was skeptical.

I’ve had the right angle for a few months now. I have an array of m12 battery sizes. This thing just sucks big time. I’m mainly trying to ya it with a small buff pad/sanding disk. I cannot buff cream off plastic headlights. It doesn’t even try. I have to get it going mid air then get a couple passes then it wimps out. Is there a setting for tq limiting or something? Really upset.
