So I own a 15 pro max and I already went through 2 cases the first discolored and the second is like silicon similar to the original and it’s getting damaged and peeling off, the only way Id be comfortable spending $60 on a case is if Im confident it will last 4-5 years, but I have seen worrisome feedback on this subreddit
I just switched to a new iPhone and I’m thinking of good cases/screen guards to get. The most popular one is mous, but it’s either the reviews are very good or really bad. Are their cases worth it? And if not, which other brand can you guys recommend?

I bought this Mous case for my brand-new iPhone 17 Pro Max after doing a lot of research and expecting top-tier quality. Unfortunately, the camera button peeled right off the very first time I put my phone in the case.
For a premium product, that’s unacceptable. I’m disappointed with the build quality and will be returning it. I’ll be looking elsewhere for a case that actually protects my phone without falling apart.
Hey everyone,
After many years of hearing about Mous cases but never trying one, I finally ordered a Limitless 7.0 for my iPhone 17 Pro Max. I watched a few positive YouTube reviews and the official video, which really made me feel like they were top quality.
However, after coming to this subreddit (where I honestly expected mostly positive feedback), I’ve been reading a lot of negative comments. Some people say the quality has been declining, that Mous reduced some of the protective materials to cut costs, others showed defective units in photos, etc. This has left me a bit worried—especially considering the price, since I thought I was paying for one of the best-quality cases out there.
The other case I was considering is the Dbrand Grip. Maybe I should have gone for that one instead? Would love to hear your honest opinions and recent experiences.
For context: right now I’m using a Pitaka case, which I love because it’s super thin, but this time I wanted something with a bit more protection (not super bulky though), especially since I now have a young daughter who sometimes drops my phone.
Thanks in advance for the feedback!
Hello! I wondered if anyone could recommend the best protective case for someone who is relatively clumsy. I drop my phone quite often, and am looking for a good case for a new iPhone 16, accounting for the camera button and how easy it may be to break.
I used Casetify for my last 2 phones, and it was amazing for my iPhone 11, but my iPhone 13 Pro broke after a few drops ...
These are the options I have been considering, potentially a combo of two:
Spigen tough armour (black) £19.59
Spigen ultra hybrid T with camera control (clear) £17.49
Spigen ultra hybrid (clear) £11.30
Mous Limitless 6.0 with camera control button £54.99
Mous Limitless 6.0 £49.99
Accounting for prices too, does anyone have any advice? Thanks :)
Hello,
Just my 2 cents, as much as that’s worth. Take it for what you want.
Currently own a iPhone 13 Pro, with a Mous Limitless 5.0 case. I was leaning over and my phone slipped out of my pocket, and fell on to kitchen tile. Must of hit the corner, a possible weak point, as the whole back of the phone is shattered, including the camera lenses. The fall was only from a couple feet or so.
I guess at the end of the day, it could be worse as the phone does still function, but I cannot recommend Mous Case after this. Don’t be like me, and invest in an actual case that will protect your phone like an OtterBox or at least something shock-resistant. With how much people use their cellphone nowadays, this is the least we could do. I don’t drop my phone that often, and the first time I did in months, this is what happens.
Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk!
I want to use my store credit on a charger and a case, are these cases any good? If they're not, what's my best option?
Getting a P9P next week.
I'm looking for a case for my new phone.. first time going iphone since the 4th one.. anyway I tried spigen but the overall case feels cheap.. no grip, the carbon fiber pattern on the back just seems to be printed on.. I've seen thousands of ads from Mous by this point it's kind of hard NOT to see them, so I went to their site and seen they ask for quiet a high price.. but on their reddit they have a lot of QC issues it seems like?
Is it worth the price over any other case?
I recently picked up the Mous Limitless 6.0 case in the speckled fabric variant, and after using it for a bit, I’ve got a mix of thoughts on it.
What I like: • Grip: The case has a decent grip. It’s not the most grippy case I’ve used, but it’s definitely not slippery either. It feels comfortable to hold, which is nice.
What I don’t like: • Phone Gets Warm: The biggest issue I’ve noticed is that my phone heats up when charging with this case on. This wasn’t something I ever experienced with my old Spigen Ultra Hybrid case, which kept my phone cool. The Mous case, though, makes it noticeably warm, especially during charging. • Button Feel: The buttons on this case are a bit finnicky. They feel kind of loose, moving up and down instead of feeling solid. It’s not the best experience when trying to press them. • Camera Button Cutout: The cutout for the camera button is pretty large, and I’m a bit worried that if I drop the phone, it could end up damaging the camera button. It doesn’t feel like it offers as much protection as I’d expect for that area. • MagSafe: The MagSafe on this case is pretty weak compared to my old Spigen case. It doesn’t feel as secure, and sometimes I’m concerned that it might not stay in place, especially when charging.
Final Thoughts: I got the case for 50% off, and at that price, I can live with it, but I wouldn’t pay full price for it. Between the heating issue, weak MagSafe, and the camera button cutout, it’s not something I’d recommend at full price. If you can get it on sale, maybe it’s worth considering, but otherwise, I’d look at other options.
I totally get wanting to make sure that the new button works with the case, but the screen side could have at least still had the plastic ring connecting the top half of the case. I love mous cases and want to stick with them but I own a high-end detailing business and climb around things all day for work on gravel, asphalt, and all types of surfaces that my phone could potentially fall onto and that one section is now not going to be protected whatsoever. Is there any plan for a revision now that they have actually got their hands on the new phone and will they honor changing cases bought now out if they revise it? Otherwise I may for the first time be buying an apple case, which I really don’t want to do, anyone else got some recs? I just love the carbon/aramid fiber look and still want reasonable durability but always use screen/camera protectors.
My terrible editing job to make them look like they have a Desert Titanium model in them 😂
I had a Mous Limitless Walnut for my iPhone XS and loved it, I dropped my phone a ton and it’s still running very smoothly, and without a scratch.
Many a drop on tile or concrete where I was like “fuuuuuuu…. For sure that broke my screen”. Nope, not a scratch.
I just upgraded to a iPhone 16 Pro, but I hear there is a lot of contention between a case with and without the cutout.
I’m looking at getting the Mous Limitless 6.0 Walnut with the cutout, but I hear that’s a point of failure. Given I drop the phone a lot I’m worried it’ll break.
The Limitless versions without the cutout, I hear are flimsy now? So not sure if would offer the same protection?
Wondering which case now has the best drop protection, for the iPhone 16 Pro
I'm torn between the Mous case 6.0 (the YouTube ads are working lol) or the Pitaka Moonrise tactile woven case. Does anyone have experience with either of these?
On my current phone (S20 ultra) I rocked a Spigen one for four years until it snapped but I want to change things up this time.
I'm looking mainly at iPhone cases, but if anyone wants to talk about their other products that would be helpful too. Hey everyone, I was curious if anyone has had any experience with Mous products or knows someone who has. Are they as great as they're advertised to be? The only negative I've heard about them from doing a bit of research, other than their price, is that their magsafe only works best with their own products. On everything else the magsafe is more "loose" if that makes sense. I just wanted to get some input from people on here who might have had experience with Mous and could help me make a decision on whether to buy from them or not.
If they're not as great as they're advertised to be. What are some other companies that also make excellent products for iPhones and other apple products?
Thanks for taking time out of your day to read this! Also thanks if you decide to comment anything. I hope you have a good rest of your day everyone.
Not really sure why I’m sharing this, but I’m a little bummed about spending $50 on a premium case that is not really that great. The materials and design touches don’t feel special, in fact I’d say it’s less comfortable since the side material is so hard and not grippy.
I’ll probably be sending it back. Which sucks, because it looks badass. But how often am I looking at the back of my phone anyway?
