September 23, 2025 -

I'm looking for a case for my new phone.. first time going iphone since the 4th one.. anyway I tried spigen but the overall case feels cheap.. no grip, the carbon fiber pattern on the back just seems to be printed on.. I've seen thousands of ads from Mous by this point it's kind of hard NOT to see them, so I went to their site and seen they ask for quiet a high price.. but on their reddit they have a lot of QC issues it seems like?

Is it worth the price over any other case?

My original Mous case was a tank. I used it for 4 years, and I honestly loved it. I ordered it directly from the site and it was great. When I got a new phone, it was a no brainer... However, when I received the case it was clearly much shoddier than the original. I spent over $100 on my new order and I was so disappointed. The real kicker is that they let me know I could return the case. I sent it back to them, I got the delivery notification that they received my return. And then they told me a month later that they never actually received it, and that I need to work with the Post Office to prove what happened. It's been months at this point, and they're still refusing to refund my money. This is the worst experience I've ever had with any company, and for that reason alone I will never recommend their products again. The current version of the case is not worth the price, in general, but their scam return policy is a real shit cherry on top. Also, if you Google, you'll see that they pull the same bullshit on other people who return for a refund. If you do decide to order a case, please try and do it through Amazon, just to avoid any possibility of dealing with Mous directly, their business practices are very, very shady. And it sounds like the need to fire whoever is working in receiving, since they magically lose return packages over and over.

I've spent far too much time worrying about this. I bought a Spigen case and an Otterbox. The Spigen was cheap, feels cheap, and offers minimum protection. It is only on my phone until my Mous case arrives. Otter Box went back to the store the same day. It was comparable quality to the Spigen for 4x the price. I have poured over the first hand complaints about Mous. I've also watched youtube reviewers rank it at or near #1. Other cases with comparable protection are either in the same price range, or look awful. Cases that look as nice cost nearly the same and do not offer the same protection. To answer your question, I don't think you can find this combination of protection and aesthetic for cheaper, so if both of those factors are important, it is worth the price.

r/Mous on Reddit: Mous case unfortunately failing to protect my iPhone
December 28, 2023 -

Hello, I have purchased a Mous case maybe a year ago in the hopes of it protecting my phone in most cases scenario. I haven’t had a single scratch or any problems with the iPhone, which is the iPhone 13 Pro Max, for nearly two years in hopes of getting the high trade-in value. Unfortunately, a couple of days ago, the phone fell from a distance of maybe 6 feet onto concrete and suffered damage to its back and damage to its insides. The fall occurred from an elevated area onto a lower area, again around 6 feet of distance, if that makes sense. The impact point seems to be on the top right of the camera bump, with the damage spreading around the phone and even to my screen protector on the front (the screen under the screen protector seems to be without a scratch). I included images of course.

The day it occurred I thought I was in the clear after realizing my phone was shattered, as the screen worked and the phone did everything it had before, but albeit the next morning the iPhone refuses to wake up, turn on, or charge. The dreadful iTunes restore is the only thing populating the screen when trying to turn it on (only while connected to a power source, not on battery) and when trying to restore the phone with my MacBook it shuts off in the middle of installation. I am not an expert but the damage seemed to get to the motherboard, and the phone is stuck in a boot loop now? I am not sure but the boot loop is the only thing I am facing with the current state the phone is in.

The point of this post is not to discourage of purchasing this case, or to delegitimaze the companies claims as I think I will be purchasing from Mous again for my new iPhone, but to inform that even though the commercial might show extreme drop tests or “F1 car vs Mous case”, unfortunate cases do happen and your phone has a chance of breaking. I have had great luck with this company before, and own a great Mous case and screen protector for my iPad Air 5, which I am beyond happy with. The customer support is also splendid as I had a new case sent to me when my leather case started peeling on the back after a couple of months of daily use (I also included some pictures if there is interest).

Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to provide detail.

r/iPhone12 on Reddit: Nomad Rugged case or Mous for iPhone 12 pro?
September 13, 2020 -

I just got an iPhone 12 Pro and am looking to buy a leather case. My main concern is protection and design. I have Mous limitless on my old (iPhone 8) and I'm satisfied with the overall case quality.

Still, I kinda don't like the design of Mous for iPhone 12 pro so I've found Nomad rugged leather cases but except of slightly better appearance I couldn't find relevant reviews regarding protection of their cases.

Don't know whether to trust nomad or stick with mous?

Anyone with first sight info?

I actually have experience with both. The Nomad is slimmer and looks classy with the leather. It’s also easier to put on. The Mous case is pretty tough to put on, especially the Aramid Fibre case — it feels like there’s just no give. I have the Mous Limitless 3.0, first with the Aramid Fibre case but that felt very slippery and actually felt a little bigger in my hand. I moved to the Speckled Fabric which provides more grip and felt slightly thinner in my hand. It’s not as slim as the Nomad case though. I really enjoy the durability and grip on the Speckled Fabric. I had issues with quality control on my first Mous and my Nomad case. I felt Mous handled my issues better so I’d rather give them my business in the future. My biggest gripe with the Mous Limitless 3.0 now is finding a magnetic mount that works with the case. I haven’t found one yet. Actually, Mous has one that is simply a mount, but that’s $40. They just came out with a wireless charging magnetic mount but it’s almost $110. If I could go back in time, I think I would get something different. However, if the magnetic mount is not an issue for you, I think the Mous case can handle anything you throw at it. If you want a classier look, the Nomad would be the way to go. The leather isn’t thick of puffy, it felt pretty thin. EDIT: I actually have two Mous Limitless 3.0 Aramid Fibre cases I’m willing to sell. One is perfect, hardly used. And the other was the one I had a QC issue with. It’s a minor issue, I’m just a bit critical. The edge of the case just didn’t seem to cover the frame of the phone fully. I put it on my wife’s phone after she put a screen protector on and I could barely see what I was complaining about lol.
