first off, just want to say thank you to whoever it was on here that tipped me off that you can use a keyboard and mouse on xbox. holy s***, what a gamechanger. i can actually hit shots now!
anyone else do this? i'm still getting the hang of using all the keys for movement and that part of it is kind of annoying for now until i get used to it but once i get that figured out, it's on.
any PC players have any tips for ease of use on keyboard / mouse? all i did was plug in a wireless keyboard / mouse to the xbox and didn't change any of the settings so just using whatever the default is, but wondering is there some better configurations. running/sliding is a bit tricky. i LOVE that you can scroll through your weapons with the mouse wheel though! that's awesome!
for someone who hasn't played video games since the early 2000s, and doesn't have years of controller play under my belt (unlike years of using a mouse) this is SO much more comfortable for me.

I finally got my gaming PC setup completed recently and been getting into gaming on it, the last time I ever played games on K&M was back when TF2 was originally made compatible for Mac (so 2013 or 2015-ish) and it feels good to experience those games again. Mainly been a Mac user for years and used to the ecosystem due to my voice over work. Gaming wise I've mainly been a console player my life.
I got into Fortnite around the start of Ch5S1 and played on PS5, so adjusting to K&M has been a bit challenging for me. I've been getting used to games like TF2 and L4D2 and adjusting well but Fortnite for some reason has been hard to adjust to, I know I gotta adjust mouse sensitivity and tinker with other options, are there some recommended key bindings I should look into? Or tips to give for someone new to the ecosystem? My friends wanna invite me to their gaming league team for Fortnite tournaments and I wanna master the feel of K&M to keep up with them. I'm primarily a ZB player too and haven't learn to build yet honestly but have been meaning to finally learn.
I have been playing on keyboard and mouse for a few weeks now and I know that there is no "one fits all" when it comes to any game, but I have been doing some research and it seems like I need to slow down mouse sensitivity? I seem to do better with it being a lot faster but they say don't put it high at all and it's a "common mistake". I am still really bad at building and editing quickly, though.
I have a relatively large mousepad with a Razer Basilisk V3 mouse and a Razer Huntsman TE keyboard. Here are my questions:
Should I slow down my mouse sensitivity to 4.4% on both X and Y at 1600 DPI? Or something else?
For my keyboard, what key binds should do well for building? I am open to anything as I haven't really got hooked to any bind setting yet.
I do have two side mouse buttons. What should those be used for in terms of building (what will I need most often for Ranked Battle Royale/Cash Cup Tournaments when I get good enough)?
Thanks!
Drop them diagonal movement settings below boys, and reason for your specific settings (if possible).
I believe 65-75 / 90 / 135 is the vast majority of pros.
Pxlarized settings are hidden, but I guess after experimenting that they're ~ 70-75 / 90 / 150.
