Hey everyone,
I’m in the market for a reliable, high-quality source for streaming movies in great resolution (preferably 1080p or better). I know there are many options, but I’d love to hear about the community’s tried-and-true favourites. Bonus points if the site is regularly updated and has a solid catalogue.
What’s your top pick?
Hey guys!
I've recently gotten into the 4K Blu Ray and Plex scene, and am loving doing my best to buy the "best" versions of some of my favorite movies.
Today I've run into an interesting situation! I was at a thrift store buying DVDs (yes I still buy DVDs when they're $1) and I came across a DVD copy of Nickelodeon's Snow Day from 2000. I assumed that there surely wasn't a BluRay release of the movie, and I was right! However what I'm finding is that there are many online services I can purchase the movie from (Apple TV/iTunes, Fandango, Prime Video, etc.) that offer it in HD or even 4k.
My question is, in a world with so many purchasing options, what service do you tend to use when purchasing your non-physical HD/4K media from? I am shooting for the best possible picture quality, preferably with a digital file download (though I know this is no longer common).
Thanks for reading, any help would be appreciated!

Whether it’s obvious sets or special effects that don’t hold up, or just movies that had a certain magic in their original grain — what films actually lost something when TVs got better (or they were remastered even) and then you saw them in HD or 4K? Stuff that was better left a little soft, murky, or VHS fuzzy in your mind.
I searched all the streaming websites for new movies, but I only found them in camera quality(cinema). However, I found some people got them in high quality.
Is there a website where I can find all the latest movies, like zootopia 2 or SpongeBob, in high quality as soon as they are released?
I got a new phone so I downloaded the movie hd APK from Google and also the am player app like I normally do Everytime I get a new phone and it's always worked til now. Hi, Everyone.
For those using the Movie HD App, version 5.4.2 is out now! I tested it with VirusTotal, and everything came back clean—no issues found. The app seems to be running fine, but I’d love to hear from others. Has anyone else updated to v5.4.2 APK? Any noticeable improvements or problems? Let’s make sure it’s safe and stable for everyone.
I got it from here, looks good enough - https://movie-hd.app/
If so what am I doing wrong, it always has new movies posted but it say can play link, I try to play the links on different plays but none of my players play them. Did I need a particular player? does the apk work can someone pls help me?
I hate sifting through all the thumbnails to find a movie I want to watch only to discover only cam versions or it's still not available. Is there a true "New Releases" thread on here?
Yeah, i know this is probably a question that’s been asked a million times, but i haven’t seen it pop up in a while, so i figured i’d throw it out there.
What are y’all using these days to stream movies in high quality? Like actual HD, preferably 1080p or higher. I usually use goku.to, but a lot of stuff there is stuck at 720p and it’s kinda killing the vibe when i’m watching something that deserves a better resolution.
Not asking for links or anything shady, just curious what sites folks are vibing with lately that actually care about video quality.
Every summer I’d migrate to my grandma’s house in Virginia like a homing pigeon with bad taste in VHS blockbusters. I had some of the greatest memories every summer and spending time with my grandma was some of the best moments of my life. She had a collection of VHS tapes so we’d watch the same shit over and over but I found one that I loved and still do to this day. I watched Death Becomes Her—a movie I adored even though 40% of the jokes flew straight over my head (and probably still do). I identified with Madeline even as a kid. Obsessed with youth. Wild. Great film recommend.
What have you watched lately old school ultra glammed up that evoked emotion?
I tried Netflix for 1 month and it is great and everything but tbh I'm just paying for the convenience of easily launching movies and continuing where I left. I don't think it's worth the $10 but getting all the pop ups on free movie sites is so annoying. I disabled pop up windows on uBlock Origin but there is still a delay since the window pops up and dissapers after a second so it's not a lot better. Because of that, I was wondering is torrenting good and easy for movies? It's ok if I have to wait for downloads, I just want to watch a movie in 1080p with subtitles. If that can't work, are there any good streaming sites in 1080p which will not give me a pop up with every click I do?
