How to view Password on Microsoft Edge for Android
Videos
My phone saves them obviously, but I want see them so I can save them Fred Flintstone style. And write them all down on paper. And I don't think I've ever backed anything up. So how do i do that too. Like in a cloud or something. Just in case I lose my phone. My dude lost his phone. Now he's fucked. Yeah, I'm trying to avoid that shit show.
I did smart switch. And some of my passwords switched over. In a few apps I forgot thr password. On my old phone I can log in with biometric, when I search for thr password on samsung or Google it's not there. Thr app or website doest even show up on the passwords. Where else is it stored.. it's also getting a little confusing where my passwords go. Please help.
There seems to be no option to view password from my Android phone's Microsoft Edge app.
This may vary with Edge version and even Android version. On my Samsung S7 with Android 8 and Edge 99.0.1139.0, these are the steps to view a stored and synced password:
- Click ⋯ > Settings and click on the signed-in Microsoft Account.
- Scroll down to Saved info and click on Passwords.
- Scroll down to see the saved entries. Click on an entry to see the stored data.
- Click on the eye icon
to request reveal. Enter the device PIN to verify identity.
- The password is revealed. It can also be copied, so it can be entered into a web form field.
YMMV, of course.
Hi, I'm Elise, and I'd be happy to help with your issue.
Unfortunately there is not this feature available in the Android version of Edge, only the desktop version.
Please let me know if you need any further assistance.
Kind Regards,
Elise
