How to turn off dark mode icons in Settings?
Light and Dark Icons with Dark Mode On
What the white moon icon means in the camera app?
After iOS 18 update (just now), why are app icons dark? No setting changes on my end

So when I open the camera app and the moon icon is not showing, it means Night Mode is not available because the environment is too bright.
When a yellow moon icon is showing, it means Night Mode is available and turned ON because the environment is dark, and if I take a picture, it will take a long exposure shot and significantly improve the quality of the picture.
When the yellow moon icon is showing and I click on it, it becomes white and crossed out, which means Night Mode is available but I just turned it off. If I take a picture, there will be no long exposure and the quality will be pretty bad.
However, when a white moon icon is showing, I can click on it to cross/uncross it out, but it makes absolutely no difference when I take a picture. So I wonder what’s the purpose of it? Does it mean “It’s dark enough to turn on Night Mode, but we don’t turn it on cause it’s not dark enough”? Lol then just don’t show the moon icon at all? Or if you consider it’s dark enough, then turn it on and show me the yellow moon with the possibility of turning it off if I want to?
I am missing something?
I have my phone set to auto Dark mode but the icons in the Settings change along with it. Is there a way to just have the regular icons within Settings despite being on Dark Mode? I don’t use dark mode icons on my home screen at all — want to have them look the same across the board.
Hello!
I always keep my iPhone in Dark Mode because I prefer a black interface. With iOS 18, I noticed that I can now have dark icons as well, but I would like them to appear only at night. Is there a way to do that? So far, it seems that the automatic settings only apply dark icons when Light/Dark Mode is also set to automatic. Is there a workaround that allows me to keep Dark Mode on all the time but have dark icons appear only in the evening and last until the next morning?
