Is Octane Render Dying?
Cinema 4D to AR using Octane Render

I actually had no idea there was a new version of the plugin available until I saw a YouTube tutorial recommendation pop up. There's a lot of really great new features in this new version so it surprised me the last update on the site and YouTube page was from April.
It does get a little concerning after awhile that there's just not enough support and innovation for Octane and ultimately they're just letting it die. Programs like Unreal, Blender, and Redshift are updating regularly, and Cinema 4D itself was falling behind but feels like its really been stepping it up lately. Octane feels very far behind in terms regular innovation or even just enthusiasm for their product.
There's a lot of emphasis in the 3D world of "learn every single program inside and out and learn it yesterday" but some of us don't have the time or Adderall habit to do that. Octane has a lot going for it still and is still one of the most user friendly renderers. I would like to keep using it and I don't want to see it languish.
But am I worrying about nothing? How many of you are still using it versus making the switch to something else?
