I read about this chain and I swear the logo and name seem very familiar, was there ever one in the Columbus area? They're owned by the same company as Ryan's and Hometown Buffet. I know we had multiple of those, but I can't find anything about OCB. Thanks.
There used to be one in Hilliard just off of Mill Run. Where the Dave & Busters is now. My parents used to take us all the time. When they first opened up the food was pretty decent. They had one out by the old J.C. Penney outlet off Refugee Road as well. My mom loved to go to that J.C. Penney and we would eat OCB there too. Later the food quality suffered and as it did it seems the Hometown name came in and all the OCBs were rebranded. The food suffered more some how Golden Corral came in and stole all their business. Their food quality was like old OCB and so I think they won out. All the Hometowns/OCBs I can recall of are all closed but the Golden Corral up on Sawmill is still there (and has hit crappy food status)
Was one near the casino long by target early 90s was decent no idea about now doubtful

What are people saying about buffets in Columbus, OH?
"3.5 star. I didn't have really high expectations and was only there because I was out voted. I was miffed I got taken advantage of on the drink option and charged extra for to go cups that I didn't ask for. Staff were very friendly other than that. The lady refilling drinks and clearing plates was a ninja. The gentleman carving ham and beef was very nice and skilled. The cotton candy lady was great with my niece and nephew, such a sweet lady. I was honestly really impressed with the ham, roast beef, mushrooms, and bourbon glazed chicken. They were all great. The fried chicken was dry and the fried shrimp were cold. Very clean place."

My birthday is coming up soon and I was thinking of possibly going to a buffet for my birthday dinner, but the best affordable buffet in my area that I remember going to as a child, Hometown Buffet, is sadly out of business. My mom suggested Der Dutchman, and I looked and I don’t know, their winter hours seem to end awfully early for a dinner buffet. But maybe that’s just me cause I tend to have my dinner around 6-8 pm or so. My dad isn’t really into Chinese or other Asian foods and he’d be the one driving me wherever cause I’m incapable of driving myself. So that rules out a bunch of buffet places. Are there any other good buffet places that I should consider?
