There will be Buck and Chris scenes in 5x11 and 5x14.
Favorite scene he's filmed so far: very big rescue in 5x11.
Ryan is "certainly not leaving the show."
Question was "are we gonna get our hearts broken?" He replied "it depends what your heart desires, some people will some people won't, but there's lots of cool story coming up."
He really likes some of the stuff they're doing in the 2nd half of the season.
There will be a Buck and Jee-Yun scene in one of the first few episodes.
He'd love to do another crossover but he doesn't know, Covid restrictions make things hard; there's some mini crossover action expected.
He talked about the idea of Buck having ADHD, he thinks it's really cool and it would be a lovely thing to explore in the show
Question: what has he learned from playing Buck? "I think he makes me a little braver." There's a huge stunt coming up in episode 14 where he was 235 feet or so up in the air doing a rope rescue; "me personally I'd be very scared, but as Buck I'm much more able to throw myself into it."
He repeated that "fun Buck is coming back."
"I think people are gonna be really happy with some of the stuff we dive into. Certain characters in particular are really gonna get a chance to dive in and explore some of the trauma that we've seen them experience over the past few seasons, which I think is a really lovely and necessary thing. I think people are gonna feel well-served and I'm excited to have all your eyes on it."
