The Microsoft for Startups program includes 1k in OpenAI API credit: https://startups.microsoft.com/ . IIRC, that 1k is across all four of the levels they have, including the ideation phase which sounds applicable here. Credit is valid for 3 months after it's redeemed. More on reddit.com

Basically the post. I'm surprised at the number of people paying for plus and not using any of the features beyond basic LLM stuff. It's so easy to get an API key and $20 of heavy usage would probably still go far.
That said, I use it from the shell, and was wondering if anyone knows of particularly good web interfaces where you can just plug your API key in. Or alternatively, if there is a local app for Mac or Windows that would be more secure.

Nah chatgpt subscription is worth it. Don't forget that chatgpt also provides multimodel inputs with voice and images. Images in API is so expensive. Not to mention browsing, dall-E, code intepreter, and ability to use multiple different devices and sync them
