I have found so many sheets on Amazon are the microfiber junk, which sleep warm. Can you get a gift card to another store with the Amazon reward points? I recently did cash back to my checking account with my Amazon Prime Visa points. (I love the Costco Kirkland 600 thread count cotton sheets I got.) More on reddit.com

The best percales are by far the high end ones from heritage linen companies like sferra. You arent going to get the cream of the crop in your budget but if you are willing to take your time and monitor ebay regularly you could get a very very nice sheet set from one of those brands for under $400. Alternatively a simpler solution is the hudson park and/or hotel collection italian percale (think its the same product sold by both brands). Even after reading about it, i have little idea of how each material would feel. I have always used the cheapest stuff available. Needs to be machine-washable. I want something soft. I don't mind a break in period. Budget is 100-250usd, if it's durable.

I’ve done lots of research and before my final decision wanted to hear if anyone would share their experience with percale sheets from American Blossom Linens, Red Land Cotton, Coyuchi, and Lands’ End. Or if there’s another great brand I’m missing. But I’m wanting to stay away from big marketing companies and those that were once beloved but have recently gone down in quality.
Overall looking for soft, crisp, and cool percale sheets best for hot sleepers in Texas. Max $400 for a queen. Ideally less. And while we’re at it: Suggestions for silk duvet and percale duvet cover? Or is there another combination I should be looking at?

I bought the coyuchi percale sheets and ended up returning them. Pros: very thick and sturdy so they felt like they would last forever. Cons: scratchy and kinda felt like canvas. Didn’t feel smooth and cool like percale should be. I don’t have firsthand experience with the other brands’ percale. I do have a set of sateen from Lands End, and they are quite nice but don’t get much use since I much prefer percale.
