I know that blazers, suit jackets and women's suits in general are trending but whenever I attempt to wear one, I feel like I'm being swallowed up. I need to buy some conservative women’s suits (like the kind a lawyer or banker wears, not hot pink or plaid fashion suits) and cannot find them anywhere. Banana Republic and Nordstrom don’t sell them any more. Macy’s, Dillards and Ann Taylor have just a few, but mostly trendy stuff like cropped pants or collarless jackets or bright colors. The places that have suits don’t have petite sizes. No idea where else to look. Thanks. (Budget is low, $100-200, I don’t actually have a lawyer or banker salary.)

What size and height are you? I retired recently from Biglaw and have numerous expensive suits that I was planning to donate. Some are from Lafayette 148 nyc and were barely worn. Happy to mail a couple to you if they would fit. Feel free to DM me.

I’m a public defender and get my suits at J Crew. It was quite an investment, and I went with skirts because I think they’re easier to tailor than pants, but now I have a few good quality suits in petite sizes that will last me quite a while. It’s literally the only place I’ve been able to get suiting that fits my petite 00 body without needing loads of alterations. The blazers fit me off the rack!
