Good hand held belt sanders?
Belt sanders aren't a precision tool, so as long as its tough and keeps spinning there are 3 feature I really look for. Make sure it has autotracking. Manually adjusting tracking never works well for me. Most brands better than Ryobi will have autotracking. My shitty Ryobi does not. I like a nice box like shape so I can rest it upside down and run the belt for detail work or clamp it lightly in a vise. I like a deadman switch to make the number 2 reasons easier. What is a belt sander?
Belt sanders are high power tools for sanding, smoothing and leveling rough wood surfaces. Belt sanders operate using two cylindrical drums around which abrasive paper rotates continuously. They are heavy-duty power tools and are great for preparing large surface areas and removing a large quantity of material from flat surfaces but are not suitable for small DIY jobs. The sanders come in both portable and bench-top models giving more flexibility in how the tool can be used for various projects. In addition, the abrasive belts come in various widths, and you can also choose the level of grit.

Buy the bench top. Then when for some weird reason you absolutely need a handheld one got buy one for $30 at harbor freight and use it twice in the next ten years.
