Primitive - Glossary | MDN
When properties are accessed on primitives, JavaScript auto-boxes the value into a wrapper object and accesses the property on that object instead. For example, "foo".includes("f") implicitly creates a String wrapper object and calls String.prototype.includes() on that object.

Primitive and Non-primitive data-types in JavaScript - GeeksforGeeks
Primitive data types are the built-in data types provided by JavaScript. They represent single values and are not mutable. JavaScript supports the following primitive data types: Number data type in JavaScript can be used to hold decimal values as well as values without decimals. Example: Below ...

Without data types, a computer cannot safely solve this: ... Does it make any sense to add "Volvo" to sixteen? Will it produce an error or will it produce a result? ... When adding a number and a string, JavaScript will treat the number as a string. ... JavaScript evaluates expressions from left to right. Different sequences can produce different results: ... In the first example, JavaScript treats 16 and 4 as numbers, until it reaches "Volvo".
How do JavaScript primitive data types differ from reference types?
JavaScript primitive data types are immutable and stored by value, meaning each variable holds its own data copy. Reference types, like objects and arrays, are mutable and stored by reference, meaning variables point to the actual data location, allowing shared and modified data across different references.

How are JavaScript primitive data types stored in memory?
JavaScript primitive data types, which include numbers, strings, booleans, null, undefined, and symbols, are stored directly in the stack, because they are immutable and have a fixed size. This allows for efficient access and manipulation as they are stored by value.

What operations can be performed on JavaScript primitive data types?
JavaScript primitive data types allow operations such as arithmetic on numbers, string concatenation and manipulation, comparison operations, and logical operations on booleans. Additionally, primitives can be checked for equality, and type conversions to other data types can be performed.

Primitives are the simplest types of data in JavaScript. A primitive literal is a value, with no wrapper or properties of its own. Primitive literals are immutable, meaning they can't be changed to represent other values in the same way that JavaScript's more complex object-based data structures can. For example, while the value of a variable named theTruth can be reassigned a value of false, the boolean literal true can never represent any value other than true, in the same way the number literal 5 can never represent the value of another number.

All primitive types, except null and undefined, have their corresponding object wrapper types, which provide useful methods for working with the primitive values. For example, the Number object provides methods like toExponential(). When a property is accessed on a primitive value, JavaScript automatically wraps the value into the corresponding wrapper object and accesses the property on the object instead.
