Struggling with easy questions on HackerRank and CodeWar in Python
You definitely do not have a decent grasp of the basics. Probably also lacking in problem solving, seems like a classic case of you only following tutorials to the letter and never actually internalizing your understanding. Tinker around with those basics, learn the basic data structures too before you go into that. More on reddit.com

What is a “basic Python” interview on HackerRank like?
I've not seen HackerRank before, but from what I can recall it'll be a test of, well, the basics. Functions, loops, lists that kinda stuff. Good luck! More on reddit.com

Python challenges on HackerRank
HackerRank challenges go good with coffee in the mornings :) that was my routine for a while, these days I'm working through Angela Yu’s 100 days of code python course on Udemy...the lessons are just the right length to do every morning before the kids get up to stay proficient until I get a job doing it full time :) More on reddit.com

r/learnpython on Reddit: Python challenges on HackerRank
March 16, 2021 -

Has anyone tried many of the "basic" challenges for Python on HackerRank? It seems that a lot of the challenges may ultimately involve writing relatively simple code. To me, the problems are presented in a very abstract and mathematical way that makes it difficult to glean what patterns or techniques might be applicable i.e. storing values in a dictionary or looping through a list using a counter variable.

Also, what is a good resource where I can learn more about how to use "STDIN" and "STDOUT"?

7 Tips I Wish I Knew Before Clearing All HackerRank Python Challenges | by Michael Li | TDS Archive | Medium
November 10, 2021 - I recently published a piece about how I cleared all HackerRank SQL challenges in two weeks. It was a fun ride, and there’s no reason not to ride on the momentum and brush up my Python skills. So here I am, three weeks later, writing this article sharing my experience and tips with you on what I’ve learned from the journey.

r/learnprogramming on Reddit: Struggling with easy questions on HackerRank and CodeWar in Python
February 14, 2023 -

Hey everyone!

As someone who's determined to learn Python, I've found that there are so many great resources out there for beginners and experienced users alike. From online courses to coding challenges, there's no shortage of ways to improve your skills and knowledge.

That being said, I'm currently struggling with some of the easy questions on HackerRank and CodeWar, even though I feel like I have a solid grasp of the foundational concepts of Python. Have any of you experienced this as well? If so, I'd love to hear about your experiences and any tips you might have for overcoming this challenge.

I'm determined to keep learning Python until I'm fluent in it, so I'm also curious to know what other external resources you've used to learn Python. Are there any particular books, videos, courses, or websites that you found especially helpful? I'm always looking for new ways to enhance my skills and expand my knowledge, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your input, and happy coding!
