The blackwidow v2 has better rgb effects and has 5 extra macros. If you are really after rgb or macros, the v2 would be the one for you. However, if you are after quality and an aluminium frame and keys rather than a plastic one, then the elite would be better. As others have stated, it has less key wobble because of the new green switch.
