It works perfectly fine to get image for any non-graphics intensive work. I was totally blown away by my Ryzen with an M.2 drive. I didn't think it was possible for a computer to do anything that fast
But nobody who has one would use the integrated graphics. wWy didn't they use that real estate for cache?

The iGPU isn't on the CPU chiplets, it sits on the 6nm I/O die. And a iGPU is very helpful when you aren't using a discrete GPU ;)

Funny enough, they just started putting integrated graphics back in their regular cpus. Previously, you had to buy a special line of APUs to get it. All 7000 series have it because the integrated graphics are in the IO die instead of the CPU chiplet so they aren't losing any cpu space for the inclusion. Even in a gaming PC it's nice to have integrated graphics as a fallback if you have hardware issues.

It was really nice of TechPowerUp to benchmark the Ryzen 7000's iGPU.
The iGPU is of course rather weak. It's about equivalent to Intel's UHD Graphics 770. What I find rather impressive though is that it's the smallest RDNA 2 GPU possible, just one WGP (2 CUs).
From the benchmarks there, a 5700G is less than twice as fast, suggesting that 4 CUs would have given us a really respectable GPU.
AMD, why did you have to save those 3mm2? Why???!!
