Sam's Club does not offer travel insurance directly through its membership or credit card programs.
The Sam's Club® Credit Card (issued by Synchrony Bank) does not include travel insurance, despite being a Mastercard-branded card. It offers benefits like zero liability protection and identity theft resolution, but no travel accident, trip cancellation, or baggage coverage.
Some users have noted that the card is labeled as a "World Elite Mastercard," but Mastercard travel benefits (like rental car insurance, trip interruption, or emergency assistance) are not provided for partner cards issued by Synchrony Bank.
Sam’s Club Travel & Entertainment (via ServicesHub) provides exclusive travel discounts and special offers, such as deals on flights, hotels, and car rentals, but these are not insurance products.
For actual travel insurance, members should consider third-party providers or credit cards with travel insurance benefits (e.g., certain Chase, Capital One, or Citi cards).
If you're looking for travel protection, check your current credit card benefits or compare travel insurance providers rather than relying on Sam’s Club's offerings.

Just got an email that now the Sam's Club MasterCard is eligible for SimplyMiles for American Airlines.
There are some hoops as you have to activate offers but it's something. Looking at the list of offers, I'll gain exactly 0 points from everything on the list.
Sorry if this has already been discusses but everything I found was more focused on the "in-store" differences. What I'm looking for is the differences in the "out-of-store" benefits. For example I've heard about the insurance and travel discounts with costco but can't really find any hard numbers on these. Does anyone have any good examples of the discounts and how they compare with Sam's club?
