I'm struggling a bit here with a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro LTE. I got it and a S24Ultra to replace an iPhone/iWatch LTE.
On the Apple Watch with LTE, the watch basically works as if it's connected to the phone 24/7, will take/make calls, get notifications etc no problem.
With the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, when I'm not connected to the phone via Bluetooth, I don't seem to get notifications, and I certainly don't get phone calls. I can confirm both the phone and watch are connecting to the mobile network OK. I don't get the option to turn on "Call and Text on other devices". I expected, like the Apple Watch, to be able to leave my phone at home and the Galaxy Watch act as if it's connected to the phone always. I can't make it work like that.
Mobile network is EE (UK), good signal, watch is on a paired plan with the phone.
TLDR; Why won't a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro work like an ancient Apple Watch when on LTE?
EDIT: Fixed, it was a problem with the eSIM on EE's side, a watch reset and re-download the eSIM fixed it.
Hello all, I just recently switched from Apple to Android and I am looking for a watch that works with my Pixel. I don't love the look of the Pixel Watch.
I think the Samsung line-up look the best, and in my brief research the Watch 5 Pro seems to have been a great device. I have found it on eBay for around $120, or I could trade the Apple Watch in with Samsung and get the new Ultra for $350ish.
Is the Ultra worth three times the price of the "refurbished" 5 Pro?
