Just bought the iPhone 17 Pro Max and I’ve had bad experiences with the Apple Store screen protector it cracked really fast. On my 16 Pro I ended up without any protection, and after one fall the screen cracked and I never fixed it so I had to replace the phone.
This time I want the best screen protector for iPhone 17 Pro Max, something strong but easy to install. I’m also thinking about a privacy screen protector for iPhone 17 Pro Max so people stop looking at what I’m doing in public.
Any recommendations for a reliable iPhone 17 Pro Max screen protector (clear, privacy, or tough edge-to-edge)?

Hello everyone. I have the iPhone 17 Pro Max and I'm having difficulty applying screen protectors without air bubbles around the outer edges. I'm used to applying screen protectors and I've tried several different types with my new phone, but I keep on getting these outer edge bubbles. Anyone else have this issue?
Edit: I finally found one that I was apply to apply without issue: Ksleri Matte Screen Protector.
Hello everyone, I’m looking for a really good screen protector for my new IPhone 17 Pro. I'm picking up in a few days, i already made my mind up on which case to get, an ESR one with a stand, i was looking at the ESR Ultrafit Armorite pro with glass from Corning screen protector, but from what i could read, and tell by the reviews people are saying that its blocking pixels on the screen and making the bezels thicker, I’m kinda picky, and i wouldnt like spending that much on a phone for the screen protector to make the thin bezels thicker, so I’d rather spend a bit more if it means better quality. Any recommendations for something that protects well but still feels nice to use?
So, I watched the JRE video and it seems the 17 series' screen is a lot harder and scratch resistant than the previous models. I always had a screen protector for my phone but this time, I am wondering if it is even required?
My local Amazon has these ESR ones that is cheap enough and seems to have high ratings. But they are not anti-reflective, which I am not sure will make a massive difference to the screen quality?
Let me know your thoughts!
I am super picky about my phone screens, and I’ve never used a screen protector as I’ve never liked the feel. I recently had the 15 pro max which had amazing durability against scratches - now upgraded to the 17 PM and I’ve heard it scratches easily.
Looking for a phone screen that really only needs to protect against scratches - no anti glare, privacy, not thick etc. Reviews? Recommendations?
Hi, I just got an iPhone 17 Pro and I'm looking for a good screen protector that covers the entire screen without a black border that spoils the display a little, but I've noticed that they are all smaller than the screen.
I've been enjoying using my iPhone 17 Pro without a screen protector, the anti-reflective coating is probably the biggest reason but screen protectors also change the feel of the screen a bit in my experience. Zagg is probably the best I've used.
With Ceramic Shield 2 being more scratch resistant this is the first time I am actually considering not having a screen protector at all. What are you guys doing?
I wanted to share my experience because I have now tried more than 14 screen protectors including ESR, Spigen, TORRAS, amFilm, Ailun, and even the official Belkin that the Apple Store installed using their machine. Every single one lifted at the edges (bottom left, the sides, and the top near the speaker).
At the Apple Store, they were initially confident the Belkin would work, but when it started lifting instantly, the manager told me there was “nothing they could do” because they “haven’t heard of this issue.” Since they did not classify it as a manufacturing defect, they refused to replace my device.
This was extremely frustrating because the Belkin protector is the one Apple sells for this phone, so if even that does not adhere properly, something is clearly not right.
When I called Apple Support later, they told me that they have not seen this issue reported internally, so they could not label it as a known defect. For context, Reddit, Amazon reviews, and MacRumors all have threads of users describing the exact same edge lifting problem. What made it even more frustrating is that the Apple Store said they cannot take online reports seriously because “people say anything on the internet” and it is not considered an official Apple source. So they dismissed every example I brought in even though the Belkin protector they installed themselves failed within seconds.
📢 So if anyone else is dealing with edge lifting on the iPhone 17 series, please report it directly to Apple Support.
The more people who report this, the faster it becomes a recognized issue instead of individual cases being dismissed as a simple “screen protector incompatibility.”
Would you recommend this ESR screen protector or should I go with something else for better protection? Thanks!!
I know it is a bit early, but I am finally upgrading from my iPhone 14 Pro Max and planning to pre-order the iPhone 17 Pro Max in the next few days. Last time, I ordered a few screen protectors for my 14 Pro Max and most of them turned out to be low quality. Some cracked easily, others had bad clarity or started peeling at the edges.
This time, I want to get it right and order the best iPhone 17 Pro Max screen protector from the start. I figured it is a good time to do some research before everything sells out after launch.
If you had good experiences with screen protector brands when pre-ordering your previous iPhones, which ones would you trust again for the iPhone 17 Pro Max screen protector? I am looking for something that is durable, scratch-resistant, and fits perfectly. (EASY TO INSTALL ofc)
Let me know what brand you used before that actually delivered good quality. I want to avoid repeating the same mistake and get a solid iPhone 17 Pro screen protector this time. Any tips for the best screen protector for iPhone 17 would be appreciated.
Hey everyone, quick question. Since the iPhone 17 Pro has the same 6.3" screen size, and from pictures the front glass looks basically identical, does anyone know if 16 Pro glass protectors will fit properly on the 17 Pro?
Thanks!
Just curious if everyone plans to put a screen protector on their new phone or not. I have gone without one for my last two phones but I also rarely drop my phone and am usually very careful. Leaning towards not using one again.
If you are going to use one, which brand are you getting? Which brands are usually considered the best?
