I was looking to buy the shark navigator lift away vacuum. The most popular models of the nv352 or nv360 sell for ~$180 but when I went to buy one I found the cu510 version selling for $100. I was curious if there was any major drawbacks to the cu510 model causing its significantly lower price?

Its hard to keep up with the Sharks. Sometimes the only difference between them is a retailer specific package as well as color/accessories or brush roll configuration. Just look over the specs and see what works for you. If your heart and budget is set on a Shark, I'd buy one from a retailer with a better return policy, such as Costco, BB&B and even Shark website. The navigators with conventional brush rollers are lightweight, basic vacuums that can give you a couple of years of decent service and even longer, provided you maintain them by cleaning and replacing filters and maintaining the brushroller. The newer duoclean models tend to be more problematic.
