Some of the best stuff I’m aware of is sold at Home Depot. It’s called life proof flooring. I shopped extensively before I started using it in rental properties and I have used quite a bit over the last few years. I’ve been very happy with it. There is a similar product made by Anderson, which manufactures up in Pennsylvania. Honestly I can’t tell the difference between the Anderson product and the life proof flooring, which is made in China. The Shaw products are made in Georgia. One of the things I did while I was shopping is take a key and attempt to scratch the surface. The scratch resistance and overall thickness of the product or what led me to when I chose. I have used shaw flooring in hundreds of homes. I have supplied it direct from the warehouse and have installed it via menards. What most of those bad complaints are, is people buying the worst quality they can get, and then being upset it's cheap shit? The one talking about the floor coming up in 6 months, I would put money that it was a DIY who didn't install it correctly. Probably had it tight wall to wall and it buckled cuz it had no room to expand and contract. The floors do scratch fairly easily, but if you put felt pads on your furniture legs you're fine. And as far as dog nails, the vinyl planks hold up better than wood for scratches. Shaw is typically a very nice product. But they do have low quality stuff for realllly cheap. More on reddit.com

I can’t speak specifically on Belmont, but I do like the Shaw brand as far as ease of install. I installed Shaw flooring in 8-10 low-mid priced rental units with no issues or call backs so I say go for it! More on reddit.com

That is a crazy low price for those spec's. Like most dealers wouldn't be buying similar products for what that is selling at. You would generally see it at the 2.39-2.80 price points. I don't know if it's a good or bad product. What it does looks like is a dump of some kind so Shaw can offload a bunch of product fast if you do go that route buy a lot more than you need because it have every indication of once it's gone it's gone and there wont be replacements that match it.
