Been with Simplii formally PC Financial for over 25 years now, no complaints, no fees, it's the same as CIBC but without the fees. No problem getting cash at a CIBC bank machine again, no fees. No problem writing cheques again, no fees, no problems with their mobile app, or using debit, again, no fees. More on reddit.com

how/where do you do cash withdrawal (like 5k)? Any CIBC bank machine. If you need that much in cash, look for the machines that dispense $100 bills (it'll say above the machine). But $5k will be a bit complicated. By default, the daily withdrawal limit is $3000. This is for your security, so if you card is compromised, nobody can clean you out in a day. But if you need that much, I think you can call in and they will temporarily increase the limit for you. The bank machines may also not even hold that much cash, so you may have to hit up a few different machines to get that much. I once paid a contractor a couple thousand dollars in $20's. That was before they dispensed $100's, and none of the machines in my town dispensed $50's. It's a pretty rare need though. If you need to pay someone, you can also send e-transfers, but the daily limit there is $3000 too, and that can't be changed. how/where do you get bank drafts?
