So several years back, we purchased the Split King iLE 360 Smart Bed and the Split E King 360 Flexfit Base. Long story short, the split king has been a nightmare for us and thanks to our kids sleeping in our bed, it’s destroyed.
We still would like a Sleep Number bed, just not split king. If we purchase a regular king mattress from Sleep Number, will it work on our base? We also do not want the split top option. I understand we wouldn’t be able to have the sides up at different heights. But is there any way this can work without purchasing a new base?

I just bought the i8 model and I loved it in the store. When I got home I read some not so great reviews and now I’m nervous I made a mistake. I know I have the 100 days to decide to keep it or not, but I was not told at the store that the integrated base/frame was not refundable. Does anyone else have this model and do you love or hate it??
Thinking of purchasing a sleepnumber and the representative said I could add plywood on top of my box spring if I opt out of purchasing their base. I have a traditional wooden box spring covered in fabric that sits inside my current bed frame and the mattress sits on top. Wondering if a bunkie board would work laying in between mattress and box spring the same way the plywood was suggested?
