Good ideas from other posters. Having been a designer in Manhattan, I have placed dining areas in much tighter spaces. You have more room than you think. You didn’t provide dimensions, but the front door is most likely 36” wide. Looks like from the photo you have at least 6 feet between the counter top and the bedroom wall. I’d place a counter height (36” high) 24x24 pedestal table against the wall between the bedroom door and the living area. I’d add 2 counter stools that swivel, and have backs. A tallish slim table lamp would be great too, as another poster suggested. Also looks like you could put an etagere or bookcase between the front door and bedroom door. Just make sure you have at least 40” of clearance (ideally 48”) between the counter top and the table and the fridge and the etagere. You can fit a lot of stuff into 650 sf!
