Am I missing something? I just finished Season 1. I decided to listen to it after hating the last season. But everyone says season 1 is soooo good so I tried it. But…. What made this story podcast worthy? Am I missing something? The guy kicked her dog and made up best friends and pretended to be them. Yep that’s weird and creepy. They keep talking about red flags and weird feelings but like WHAT WERE THEY? I just feel like it’s no where near specific enough. Is this just me? If I missing info, would love to know.
Was recently suggested the podcast Something was Wrong by a good friend, and wow is it GOOD! Still in the first season of it, and was instantly hooked after the first episode. The first season deals with a young woman named Sara who was in engaged to a man who she later found out was not who he claimed to be. The things this man put her and her family through is so intriguing and heartbreaking. If you're into true story podcasts, give this one a try. If you're sensitive to the topic of abuse, I would skip it.
Dick is an abuser -- but also isn't Sara's family dynamic a bit... intense? It sounds like they have scrutinized every relationship she has ever had before this. I never had to obtain the "approval" of my sister -- it's just a lot of input for this poor woman and a lot to satisfy. Some patterns of abuse possibly even before Dick was on the scene.
Just finished episode 4. Found her IG. She’s into Young Living. It all makes sense now 😂
