2 days ago - Obviously it's of poor quality so I contacted the store... See more ... Bought chairs and a sofa from Structube. After barely a few uses, the chairs constantly need to have the screws tightened, otherwise they are super wobbly.

r/montreal on Reddit: My father is from Montreal. I love Montreal. I have a question about Structube dining chairs.
July 27, 2023 -

I am asking about Structube chairs in this Montreal forum because Structube has been in Montreal much longer than Western Canada.

I am looking at some Structube dining chairs, but I have a relative who weighs well over 300 pounds. I cannot find specifications on the Structube site about weight tolerances for their furniture.

Does anyone have any information about or experience with these chairs that could help me decide if they would be safe for my family member?

I do love Montreal and my father was born there. I was lucky enough to be taken to Montreal to visit my father's family many times as a child and of course I have returned as an adult, though most of my family have passed away. A great city.

October 25, 2024 -

What was your experience like purchasing furniture from a Structube Edmonton location? How were they in resolving issues?

There is a sofa I want to buy from them, but the negative reviews of how they handle damaged or defective items is concerning, especially if issues arise outside of the 7 day return window. If I could find a similar style Canadian made elsewhere I would pay up for that, but haven't come across one.

August 17, 2025 - Structube tells me it's not a manufacturing defect and it's "normal" to have to tighten the screws on their chairs regularly (I'm taking after every time you sit in them). The sofa fabric also ripped pretty fast and Structube said it was an "out of warranty usage" that caused "normal wear and tear" and that they couldn't help me. What? Customer service can't help - if you reach them, they might open a ticket that goes nowhere. Otherwise you have to almost harass them to even get a call back. They also delete negative item reviews off their website, as far as I can tell, as my reviews were published and then disappeared.

r/askTO on Reddit: Buying from Structube was mistake
November 16, 2024 -

So I recently moved to Toronto, and I thought, let me get something for my apartment that's not from Ikea, so I thought, let me try Strutube!!! Man, that was a mistake!! I should have read the reviews on Reddit first! I got two bar chairs( kitchen island style) and two regular bar stools; the stools were in stock, and the chairs were not! I thought, let me purchase anyways, so maybe they will send a partial order, but nope, it's been 3 weeks, and the order status says Strutube is waiting for chairs (restocked by April 21) to ship all together 🤷🏻‍♂️

Why not just release a partial order? They already charged about $60 for delivery, so why are they hosting items already in stock? What's the rationale?

Has anyone recently experienced Stuctube delivery delays? I am reading people spending a lot on sofas, and it takes about 7 months to get them!!! I wish I had read the reviews first, but I thought I was supporting a Canadian company! 😔

EDIT: finally today (04/16) Structube Items arrived in good shape!

I am writing to express my profound ... toxic-smelling BAILEY Velvet Dining Armchairs. Upon the delivery of the BAILEY chairs in November 2023, I immediately noticed an unbearable toxic smell, reminiscent of glue and chemicals....

April 21, 2024 - End of story, no empathy or kindness at all, now I’m left with wonky dysfunctional chairs. Avoid structube at all costs. Customer service is lacking, rather go to ikea or Wayfair because they have exceptional customer experience. I tried to leave a review on their product page about the chairs, and after submitting it says that it’s being under review.

r/Calgary on Reddit: Experiences with Structube? Are they THAT bad?
June 23, 2017 -

Considering spending a decent amount of money at Structube.

Looking up reviews, there's tons of negative ones from across Canada, Calgary included, but a lot of the complaints aren't any different from the experience you'd get from other furniture retailers, and some of the bad reviews are just....unreasonable, tbh.

Structube's prices are about the same as IKEA so I'm not expecting the best quality, or even the best customer service. Just want to make sure if I spend $3000+ on items there I'm not dumping money down the drain.

Is anyone able to share their experience with Structube? Would love to know the quality of their sofas, accent tables etc. Apparently their beds are garbage, but I'm not looking for a bed from them anyway.

Item I'm eyeing the most is this sofa: https://www.structube.com/en/kyle-sofa-19-91-27?pid=23856
A lot of the bad reviews are about their delivery service, and I would be able to pick up most/all items myself with a truck assuming that's possible .
Would also be open to other furniture retailers, but not looking to increase my budget drastically. West Elm and EQ3's price points are much much higher.

r/OfficeChairs on Reddit: Never going to buy Ergonomic chair online.
August 5, 2024 -

So far i have purchased 2 ergonomic chairs online and none of them have me satisfied. They are around CAD $250 and i am aware at that price its hard to justify comfort.

Recently I purchased this https://www.amazon.ca/Mimoglad-Ergonomic-Adjustable-Headrest-Armrests/dp/B09N93L2RQ?th=1 chair, the problem is my feet doesn't touch the floor at lowest , uncomfortable and seat is quiet firm. Worst thing was it went on sale $100 off the day after I purchased SMH.

Yesterday i went local store called Structube furniture store and i found this ergonomic chair https://www.structube.com/en_ca/ergo-ergonomic-office-chair-84-86-71?pid=48626#product_description When I sat on it was amazingly comfortable. Does anyone know about that chair about its reliability or if it lasts long ? Is it worth the price ?

I don't think your issue was with buying ergonomic chairs online, it was with buying cheap chairs online in general. If you would have posted that Amazon link before purchase and asked for feedback, I'd like to think everyone in this community would have told you its a hard pass. Anything bought Brand New on Amazon for <$200 is nearly 100% guaranteed to be some $15-30 cheap generic import from overseas. It would literally have to be for the seller to be making any profit on it whatsoever on that platform. Even if they were quality options, there is a reason why it is frequently mentioned that trying before buying is a very important part of the process. Does anyone know about that chair about its reliability or if it lasts long If you found it comfortable, at the end of the day that matters more than anyone else's opinions online. Now if you want some two cents... Never heard of the company before, all their models look like Private Labeled "inspired by" generic clones. Which isn't to say they're inherently bad, it just is what it is. Considering their products only come with a 1 year limited warranty that essentially only covers defective products and no usage/parts/mechanisms...this leads me to assume that they know very well that their products are not built to last very long. They even mention all warranty claims a resolved at their own discretion, no clear outline or guarantees. This is a stark contrast from the reputable industry leaders that warrant their products for 12 whole years with almost everything included aside from basic user wear and tear. Even the mid range brands with 3-5 year warranties. In the current market, I would almost always prefer to have a good condition secondhand/refurbished from a major brand that are known to last for decades over any possible option I could buy Brand New for a comparable price. Hope this helps. Colin at TheBackStore

I can see how Amazon duped you. 4.5 star reviews and it sure does look nice. Lol.
