I posted this about 1 year ago... I’m gonna give it another go.
When I first posted most people told me to stay away from T-Mobile in the Chicago area and surrounding suburbs.
I’m on Verizon currently, I’m inheriting my in-laws lines, either I get them T-Mobile or make a sub account and put them on Verizon with me.
Verizon works perfectly in Chicago, I’m basically wondering how T-Mobile is In 2018 in Chicago?

It’s not bad. It’s also not great. I’m in Rogers Park and for the most part it’s great I’m able to use it without much issue. There are some spots where I lose service cause I’m switching to a new tower. Downtown is decent they don’t have building penetration like Verizon does. I came from Verizon in an attempt to save money and it’s worked out well but there are times that I wonder how would Verizon perform “here.”

Have been on T-Mobile in the northwest suburbs for 20 years. In general, they are great in the city and suburbs, and more sketchy in the boonies. I actually drop coverage on the highway down towards St. Louis. But in the Chicagoland area, solid. I have them because I have 7 lines for $130, which I don’t think you can get anywhere anymore. We each get 4gig of data per month with that.
