Why does prepaid customer service sucks so bad as opposed to postpaid?
Ex-T-Mobile Rep's Advice: When Not to Call Customer Service
Just recently switched to the $50 unlimited promo prepaid T-Mobile plan ported my number in. Tried to create account on T-Mobile iOS app, got error of “null” user. Tried to login on laptop I got a message that I needed to change my email because I had “skipped pin code verification”. I never was asked for or received any pin and I never received anything via text or email.
I was also getting this error sometimes: “You are not authorized to access this account. If you are the account owner, please dial 611 from your T-Mobile phone or 1-877-778-2106 from a non T-Mobile phone.“
Lady on the phone told me not to register through the app and to delete it, that it wouldn’t work right there’s a bug and/or issue with prepaid users to register on a laptop. They reset my account after 48hrs and I was ready to register again. I re-registered and am still getting the “You are not authorized” error again.
They are supposedly now wiping my email login again in 24-48hrs so I can try to register again. Any tips?
Also Wi-Fi calling won't turn on in any way shape or form for some reason as well (iPhone X).
Hello,
I recently left the US for an indefinite amount of time, so I will not be using my phone number anymore. I have had a prepaid account with T-mobile for about 4 years, and I found no option to cancel, so I just removed my credit card information from my account, in the hopes that it will stop charging me.
However, I was recently charged for this month. I cannot call the customer service number since I don't have my chip anymore, and I have found no email I can use to tell them my problem. What can I do?
