October 2, 1999 - Kudos to all cast members: Peter McCauly (Professor Challenger), Rachel Blakely (Marguerite Krux - a character not in the book but mysterious and lovely -- a favorite!), William Snow (Lord John Roxton), Jennifer O'Dell (Veronica - Another new character but a welcome addition), David Orth (Edward "Ned" Malone), Michael Sinelnikoff (Professor Summerlee - Season One) and Lara Cox (Finn- a young woman from our world's potential future - New character in season 3).

The Lost World and its inhabitants are plagued by a severe drought. When a pack of hungry, thirsty raptors attack the explorers, a beautiful young woman named Ana comes to their aid. She hopes that, in return, they will escort her back to her pueblo.

The adventurers discover they have lost Summerlee and have to withstand attacks from both humans and monsters.

March 20, 2024 - We are in season 2 now. The CGI dinosaurs aren’t great but it’s funny when they show up. They are supposedly on a plateau of sorts and are separated from the real world. There’s no nudity but it definitely feels like there should be. Apparently there was some when it originally aired. Did I mention how campy it is? There are a lot of people in this Lost World too.

March 25, 2012 - “Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Lost World” was a syndicated television series. It was only loosely based on his original novel (1912), mainly sharing only its title, basic premise, and some character names. It ran for three seasons. For the most part the series was filmed in Australia.

The Lost World's landscape is littered with unexplored caves, which contain traps, dinosaurs, aliens and Jack the Ripper; it also never ceases to surprise how so many conflicting civilisations live within easy commuting distance of the heroes' treehouse. Each of these civilisations vanishes never to be seen again after the episode in which they appear. There are also contradictions within the series; in series two it is implied that Veronica's parents may have gone to El Dorado but by series three this mysterious location is known as Avalon instead.

January 1, 1999 - A fearsome battle has erupted between Drakul and the betrayed Tribune. In an attempt to avoid being trapped in their crosshairs, the adventurers attempt to cross a bridge spanning a deep gorge, but a bomb sends Summerlee into the depth below.
