Linking them in this manner will allow the program to see the controllers and work together to manage RGB patterns and colors. It’s important to set the dip switches on the back in the proper order. The order that is correct is in the diagram below the figure. Thermaltake RGB Guide ·
How to setup a different rgb fan controller to the thermal take v250.
I'm assuming you bought one like this: https://smile.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Controller-3-Pin-Ports/dp/B08MTCSH55 If so the pre built in controller on your case has a output labeled M/B lighting that will go to the cooler master now. If your motherboard doesn't have a 5v argb then you need 9pin usb 2.0 controller so you can control argb thru the software side. More on reddit.com
Fans without controller
You say someone told you that they came with fans was this someone like a friend or someone from TT? Because I can tell you now that the three pack of White SWAFANS DO NOT COME WITH A CONTROLLER. THERE IS NOWHERE ON THE THERMAL TECH WEBSITE THAT SUGGESTED THEY DO. THERE ARE NO PHOTOGRAPHS ON ANY RETAILERS WEBSITES, SHOWING THE FANS THREE PACK WITH ANY PICTURES OF A CONTROLLER INSIDE, AND I SUGGEST THAT THIS COULD BE BECAUSE THEY USE A NINE PIN USB CONNECTOR, AND PERHAPS THE WILL TAKE OUR EXPECTING PEOPLE TO USE A NZXT HUB OR SOMETHING? I’m not sure how old you are but I’m 51 this year and I live longer ago after making many mistakes when building computers not to listen to other people to find out firsthand directly from the company that manufactures the goods that I’m buying and even then double check because even they can be wrong sometimes. I ordered 14. TL LCD FANS all 140mm and sadly they don’t even come with controllers as they don’t sell them in three packs. I’ve heard people mention them selling the 140 mm version two packs with a controller but I haven’t seen them in my country nor can I find them online. so I ordered the fans and the controllers directly from the supplier as I am a registered computer IT business owner and can buy from wholesalers rather than retailers, which is great way to save money and believe it or not instead of sending me the INF TL CONTROLLERS. I NEEDED 3. Instead they sent me 5 SL INFINITY FAN CONTROLLERS, WHICH DON’T WORK PROPERLY WITH THE TL LCD FANS OF COURSE THEY WOULD KNOW IF THEY HAD TAKEN THE TIME TO LOOK PROPERLY AS I SAID YOU COULD NEVER BE FULLY SURE AND ANYTHING THAT YOU DO WITH COMPUTERS. ALL I CAN SAY IS DEMAND REFUND. LET THIS BE A LESSON TO YOU TO PAY FOR MORE ATTENTION IN THE FUTURE, BECAUSE IT WILL KEEP HAPPENING I CAN ALMOST GUARANTEE IT. I HAVE ALSO BEEN HEARING RUMOURS THAT DIFFERENT COMPANIES, ESPECIALLY THE LARGE COMPUTER COMPANIES LIKE THERMALTAKE, CORSAIR, LIAN LI ETC. can sometimes sell different things in their packs based on which country you live in now I’m not saying that the supplies to you it’s just an interesting fact sometimes the items even look different in different countries I bought a computer case a little while back it was a VETROO AL800 full tower case. And it turns out that the ones here in Australia look completely different to the ones in Europe and don’t even come in the same colours and the ones that I seen in Europe had tempered glass sides and the one in Australia had full enclosed metal casing with no glass at all so you can imagine how upset I was with them Altering, building, and customising PCs can be a tough game sometimes even if you’re good at it, the companies that make the gear aren’t always as good as you are or sometimes it can just be plain bad luck. There are many factors that come from the moment of initial concept to the final product completion that can go wrong and often do. I am currently working on a custom made altered case of a LIAN LI 011. EVO XL. Which I have physically altered dramatically to fit 2 computers inside it.. 2 motherboards , both with Intel, 14900 KF p CPU’s in them, Each motherboard holding, 192 gig of 7200 MT/S DDR 5 RGB RAM , 2 PSUS and 2 x ROG STRIX RTX 4090 24GB OC ETC. I AM NOT BUILDING THIS FOR MYSELF. I AM BUILDING IT FOR A CLIENT. APPARENTLY HIM AND HIS WIFE GAME TOGETHER AND have a very small apartment and have to share the one desk so they sit on each side of the desk with the monitors back to back but only have enough room for one case I have built all sorts of computers over the years I built a computer that looked like a full size replica of R2-D2. I built a fully submerged inside a fish tank with fish swimming around it. All I can say is that I hope it doesn’t show out, and I’ll electrocute the poor things. My point is is that with enough patience, knowledge, and time we can literally achieve almost anything, but that doesn’t mean that things always go to plan. I would, if I was you I would research or contact THERMALTAKE in your country and see what parts their fans are meant to come with because from what I can see all they have is the fan and it’s a attached power cable and that seems to be. I mean it just doesn’t appear to be any information about it, which is usually a good sign that it doesn’t exist. I mean, if you go to the LIAN LI WEBSITE and look up any pack of three fans and look through the photos attached to that product. You’ll see pictures of all the fans from different angles and somewhere in there will be a picture of the fan controller that you need to go with it which is always a good sign that it’s included and I could not find that for the thermal fans that you described when I looked just before posting this. anyway, I hope you’ve sort your problems out. Best of luck take care More on reddit.com

Connect Asrock Motherboard RGB header to Thermaltake controller
I just asked and learned of this other day. To connect to any MOBO RGB, you need to use the TT Sync Controller and NOT the digital lightning controller that comes with their fan products. Sucks, I know. It’s their marketing strategy to get you to use their software. But here’s a quick pro/con list for you to decide yourself. Pros Connect to MOBO RGB Use MOBO RGB software instead of TT SATA Powered Can connect up to 9 fans (space-saving) Cons An extra $25+ YMMV Cons of Digital Lightning Controller Stuck with TT RGB software Molex powered Can connect only up to 5 fans (odd number but you can daisy chain them?)
