Thoughts on a twin (or single) bed?

Recently bought my first home, a condo in a downtown high-rise, and it’s great. However, the bedroom is a bit narrow. The queen size bedroom set from my apartment times only kinda fits. If I remove one of the nightstands, there’s a narrow pathway on that side, the other side is easily accessible.
I’m single and expect to remain so, there’s not really a reason a bed needs to have space on both sides. But a queen bed in a corner is really awkward (very difficult to change the sheets, etc.). I’m considering replacing the whole thing with a twin bed, I slept on one most recently in the dorms during grad school, so I’m certain I’ll be comfortable there.
But every place I look, twin beds and twin bedding is always marketed for Kids or Teens. I worry about finding stylish bedding to fit my decor. And while I expect to stay single, I worry that the bed could be a dealbreaker for any potential partners.
I’d appreciate people’s thoughts on this matter.
