Okay so I’m asking this question because I don’t know if I should be concerned about my package. I placed my order about one week ago on 21st of February and it was supposed to arrive on the 29th. The 29th comes along and as I’m patiently expecting my package I get an email saying it was delayed until March 6th. I’m confused so I decide to go check the tracking finally since I hadn’t up until this point.
Turns out tracking didn’t start updating until the 28th, which means my order sat for an entire week without no movement whatsoever. Apart from my annoyance, I decide to wait once again until March 6th intently watching the tracking for my package.
It’s already March 4th and there hasn’t been a SINGLE update since the 29th where it supposedly says it’s “On the way.”
My question is, is this a normal occurrence and should be concerned? I don’t want the same thing to happen on the 6th and my package is delayed once again for seemingly no reason. What’s frustrating is this is an expensive purchase of over $1k and I have always been skeptical of buying expensive items online out of fear for something going wrong during delivery. Seems my fears were well placed so far.
Shipment type is Ground shipment
Package stuck in "...package has been temporarily delayed" for 3-4 days. What does it mean?
Has anyone else had this issue?
It's been saying ⚠️Delay for 3 days now (initially supposed to arrive yesterday). Should I contact them about this?
why is it that on the set delivery day UPS always delays the delivery by another day?
As the attached screenshot shows the UPS app is showing this "We're sorry, delivery is taking longer than expected. Your package has been temporarily delayed." message for 3-4 days without showing any reason. Also it's not showing any estimated delivery date for a long time. Any idea what that message means or if calling UPS and asking their representative help me get more info regarding the delay?
For what it's worth, the sender created the shipping label with Birmingham, AL as sender address but dropped off the package at Ridgeland, MS. Those are 2 different states altogether. Might it be creating any problem?
Another question I have is as you can see the late update was "The UPS Store® printed and applied the shipping label." What does that mean actually? When the customer dropped off the package didn't it have any shipping label on? I mean when I drop off a package in UPS I've never seen this particular update. The only update I see is "package dropped off" before it becomes "on its way". But I prepare, print and attach the shipping label to the shipment before dropping it off. So I'm just trying to understand did UPS actually help the shipper to pack the shipment or they printed or what?
I'm concerned and asking all these questions because the shipper is a stranger from whom I've bought something expensive (though I paid by PayPal Goods and Services and also used my CC, so I should be safe) and he hasn't been particularly cooperative regarding the shipment info and such.
I placed an order on April 17th and the ETA was originally on April 27th. I was told I had a delay and it’s been 2 days since the original due date and all I’m getting is that my package is on the way and they’re actively working to get me a new delivery date. I even paid for the upgrade of UPS Ground in hopes of getting it here faster but I haven’t even gotten an update.
