Hi!
I sent an email to UPS' support but didn't even get a confirmation, and I figured someone here might know.
I own a Zebra ZD621 that's connected to my network, and I'm trying to print from my macbook pro.
Printer works great in general, but I can't seem to be able to get UPS.com to play nice with it.
I went through their instructions. The printer was already setup in CUPS, so the only thing I really changed was adding a class. I downloaded the software linked from that document as well.
From there, if I check Print to a Thermal Printer, the 127.0.0.1:4349 page loads (when the UPS software is running) and prints 3 labels worth of text that's mostly gibberish (stuff like addresses etc. are plain text so readable).
I'm really not sure where to go from there. Like I said the printer works well when using lp in the terminal, or printing from preview or image editors. The test page printed directly from localhost:631 also looks good, which means all the default options are set properly.
Any idea? Thanks!
PS: I search google and here but came short.
I know that Windows 11 changed a bunch things as far as printing goes, but ever since I upgraded to Windows 11, I can't print UPS labels from the ups.com site.
It usually goes:
-Install a Zebra label network printer as a printer
-Install Java
-Install the UPS applet
I have to use Edge to make it happen, but it works in Windows 10. The UPS applet runs a service that runs in the background with a 127.0.0.0 address. But when I print it says "no thermal printer found."
This is the page currently not showing support, but was wondering if anyone got it to work some other way.
Yes, I've tried all the dumb Chrome extensions. They are all scams and just point me to the website where I can buy their printer.
I'm chatting with UPS right now to see what they have to say.
