So until May 1st I worked at a Call Center the last 6+ years, including on written correspondence, so I definitely understand how difficult inquirers can be. That being said, my interaction with this walmart chat agent was just heartbreaking. I bought something on Marketplace and it wasn't what it was supposed to be and the seller kept telling me it was, so I reached out directly to Walmart on the issue since the seller was being shady. I stated the issue, apologized for confusion one time, thanked him a couple of times for the effort, and when I would say thank you he would write out a paragraph saying stuff like "No, thank you for being so kind while dealing with this issue." And "I want you to know how much I appreciate your kindness during this conversation." Or "No, I'm the one who should be sorry, you've been dealing with this issue, and you have been so kind to me during this conversation." (When I apologized for confusion) To clarify, I wasn't specifically kind, just having a normal conversation. So this normal, respectful conversation was so rare for his that he spent half of our convo gushing over it. That is so sad to me. I know from my time working in a Call Center that things can be outrageous sometimes, but employers really have to start doing more to protect their employees. A person should not be that grateful for a normal human interaction at work.
Hugs to all of you dealing with disrespect every day.
Why is there even an option to chat with your shopper if they don’t get it or don’t bother to respond? I’ve tried chatting with my shopper on at least 3 different occasions and never get a response. Any idea why this is?
Hi there,
Is there a way to email or text customer service for the Walmart app? I'm looking for technical support. Have a pretty simple straightforward issue, app is not allowing me to add my new credit card even though it's working fine everywhere else.
Have been trying the chat box on the app everyday for a week now, during business hours, and I keep getting a message when I try to reach an agent saying no one is available to help me through chat and to call the 800 number. I'm getting desperate lol. I've called the 800 number twice and both times have reached someone outside of the country who I could barely understand and have been told my issue has been escalated and I would receive an email within 24 hours to help me but no one ever emails. I've spent more than an hour on the phone and repeated myself about 50 times. They can't just take my credit card over the phone. Just want to place a order like I've been doing for many many years and feeling beyond frustrated. Any help would be really appreciated.
I was trying to get to a human because I couldn't pay for my delivery order with anything including my Walmart credit. After about a half-dozen attempts a light bulb went off and I said this...
"Non-Binary Discrimination Customer Service"
No BS, I was talking to a human in about 10 seconds and helped me with my payment problem. I told them about my method and they tried to just acknowledge it while holding back laughter.
UPDATE - The repost on r/Walmart got the response I expected. Zero likes and negative comments. They were defending a machine because I think it allowed them to not have to actually work. I replied to one of the comments "If customers could actually talk to a person when they call customer service then Walmart would have to give employees more hours or hire new employees to cover it. Or both. Which is a good thing to most people. So, you're welcome."
