I have purchased a lot of products off Wayfair. I actually have a fireplace and it works great. So far I have not had any issues when a product has come damaged. I take pictures of the broken product, use the app, and report the problem. I have only had a couple things come broken the rest have been fine even when the boxes have looked like they have gone to hell and back. 😂 (FedEx I swear tries to break my orders.). I will say in the past few years they have given their customer service people less options to help. The customer service people are always nice but their hands are tied with what they can do to help if there is an issue. You will be offered parts to fix the item (honestly I have never had parts sent and I have read reviewers who wanted months to get them), a replacement (I have had a few items replaced. Be sure to keep the box just in case they want you to send it back.), or they credit you a certain amount of the item if you want to keep it as is. As far as the warranty you will have to look under the description of each item to see what the manufacturers warranty is and you may have to go through that manufacturer for warranty issues. I just bought a new house and the one item on our wishlist it was missing was a fireplace. In our old house, we had plans for a fireplace with built ins that we abandoned when we bought this house. We didn’t have the funds to do that in our new house, but I bought an electric fireplace on Amazon and paired it with IKEA Havstas for a faux-built in wall and I’ve absolutely loved it. I considered building a fake mantel, but this was easier, probably not much more expensive, and I actually love having the electric fireplace on. We get so many compliments on it and people assume the house came with the fireplace. To make it look a bit better, we’ve cut out the floor molding behind it to get it flush with the wall. Now we just need to call out an electrician to install an outlet behind it so we can hide the cords and make it look fully built-in. I grew up in an old house with fireplaces everywhere, and this one makes me feel like I have a bit of that childhood magic back. More on reddit.com
