Just 2 things that might help in the future. 1 - you are using your tape measure incorrectly. The hook is able to slide back and forth the distance of the width of the hook. So if you are measuring with the inside of the hook you pull against it, not push it in like you are. But if you are measuring on the outside of the hook,, then you push it in. That way you will always have the same measurement whether you are pushing the hook against something, or hooking to the outside of something . And whether it is plumbing or electrical pipe, it is always the I side diameter used for sizing. Just might make things a little easier in the future. More on reddit.com

If I'm trying to do the best job possible, which type of copper pipe do you all use regularly? is type M too thin for most applications? is type K prohibitively expensive, hard to work with or just unnecessary for general applications? is type L the Goldilocks of copper pipe or do I have it all wrong?
